Raging floral and pine nose. Really fresh-scented, rich and pungent. Flowery. Bouquet-heavy. Amazing. Pours a coppery gold, with a tall finger of sparse white head. Flavor is equally rich and dense with strong bergamot, jasmine, sandalwood and orchid. A bit of spice and some light malt blends. Relatively dry for the style, with a minimal yeast and alcohol presence. Deft balance. Finish is tersely bitter and maybe a bit heavy, even for the style, but it creates a lot of complex as you move through the beer. Drinkable, nuanced, richly flavored and fresh.
Poured a lightly hazy, amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, dank herb, amarillo, pine, toast, and some caramel as well. Taste of pine, citrus fruits, light toffee, grass, and a raw, grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Pretty freakin hoppy. doboy (424) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - JAN 27, 2009
Poured a caramel color, kinda dark for an IPA. But that’s where the problems ended. Nice lacy head, grea hoppy floral aroma. The flavor was lite, and the body full and nice. Great aftertaste and bittering. Good enough to make me want to be a Nittany Lion!!!

Bottle, courtesy kramer. Pours copper color, with creamy white head and very thick lacing. Nose has sharp piney hops, some vanilla, mango and other tropical elements. Bitter hops hit first, with some nice tropical fruit to follow. Crisp, drinkable and very bitter, but yummy. adrian910ss (2586) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAR 17, 2009
On draft at Ottos. Pours a hazy caramel amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of fresh citrus, light pineand hops. Taste of light tangy citrus, grapefruit, grassy notes, pine and bitter hops. Nice and quite refreshing.

Bomber, from that unbelievable Beer Pimp, Brian. Poured a deep red amber with a small sudsy white lace. Nose has a lot of perfume and floral notes with some tropical and citrus fruits going on. Nice apricot-grapefruit hop taste, with just a mild astringent bitter finish. The hops are more tasty than bitter. The after is lightly dry, with a nutty bitter character and mild sweetness. Overall flavour has a well balanced tropical fruit, yet hop bitterness. Well made beer. jjgmd (2212) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 29, 2013
Pours a rusty amber orange color with a small head. Nose is a deep sweet citrus with a nice scents of pine. Taste is sweet with bustling citrus, quite full of flavor and taste. Finishes sweetly with a nice bitter citrus ending. Quaff Score 8 / 10 Dacrza (1008) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - AUG 7, 2014
DATE REVIEWED: August 7, 2014... GLASSWARE: Hop Devil nonick... OCCASION: enjoying a nice haul from our State College weekend...APPEARANCE: clear, red amber body that streams a steady effervescence; dirty white head settles from a solid finger to a creamy resilience flaring with sunbursts of lacing--great to look at... AROMA: brilliant botanical array of lilac, carnations and grass; secondary scents of spices such as allspice and nutmeg--invitingly complex... PALATE: mellow, medium-bodied and drinkably relaxed; a thin yet consistent aftertaste holds to the back of the throat; creamy, if anything... TASTE: a solidly established pale ale, though not big enough for the India moniker--well-rounded, perhaps, by the soft, sweet malts that balance every sip; the malts--creamy, buttery--escort blunted hops along the journey, with a sessionable invitation... OVERALL: although a pleasant sipping beer, I find it tough to call this IPA anything beyond above average, as so many breweries are setting thee bar so high in this style...still, tough to slam a beer that is aesthetically pleasing and delivers on its promise with enough balance to convince--albeit temporarily--that the overhopped IPA is not the way to go .... Draft at the source. Crystal clear golden color. Nice grapefruit aroma. Taste is clean citrus, pineapple. Very tasty. DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - FEB 27, 2009
Bottle from Brian shared with my tasting buddies. Coppery amber with a solid off white head. Big pine and citrus aroma over a toffee background. Medium body and carbonation, quite dry with a lingering bitterness. The hops come on quickly with lots of bitterness supported by a study caramel sweetness. A very nice IPA in the West Coast tradition.
