Strictly speaking not an Oude Kriek, seen the addition of an extra yeast. 2011 blend.

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. 2011. Eleganckie, przyjemne, owocowe, ale też i dziwnie mineralne, co zupełnie nie gra z warstwą lambikową. Nie moja bajka.

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 29, 2016
Bottle: Served in a Teku glass: Full light pink head. Beautiful purple red body. Nose of cherries, wood, funk, yeast, wild yeast, hint of sweet cherries like a sprinkle of amarena cherries, light rotten wood. Flavour of cherries, light tart, some warmth, funk, light wood, more sour but also some sweet cherries, light cheese, wild tones, some malts and dessert red fruit tints. Aftertaste is red fruit, cherries, tart, funk and light wood. Medium carbo, creamy light tart mouthfeel, more than medium bodied. Delicious stuff! Considering ratings from 1 to 2 years ago, this must have seriously mellowed down. Very tasty!

ineedbeer (2232) - Oakland, California, USA - JUN 25, 2016
Poured from a 2011 vintage bottle. Aroma is fruity with a moderately strong cherry note and a bit of a juiciness. Medium to medium light oak notes. Light herbal and earthy funk note with a bit of a green leaf character as well. Pours a dark, sightly hazy, cherry red with a very large, pillowy, pink head that continues to grow when you are finished pouring. Head lingers for quite some time before disappearing. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a moderate tart cherry note. Medium to medium light acidity. Cherry isn’t juicy at all, more like the flesh of a cherry. Medium light oak notes. Light herbal and leafy funk notes. A bit of a barnyard character. A touch medicinal. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty decent kriek. It seems like it couldn’t decide whether to be a sweet kriek or an acidic one and found itself somewhere in the middle. Funk is nice and while it’s a touch medicinal it’s really faint.
