COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

Fin fylde.

Draft 0.15l at Foeders Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 23.01.2017. Pour it dark red color with big pinkish head. Aroma strawberry a lot. Taste strawberry jam, pleasent sticky red fruits, little bit dry at the end. Nice balanced, medium body, lightly sour, fizzy carbonation, long finish.

dnicolaescu (2641) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - FEB 21, 2017
BOTTLE 37,5. Clear dark ruby, small pink head. Smells like overripe slightly rotten raspberries with a hint of cooked corn, almost no funk. The taste is really sweet and fruity, raspberry juice, quite tart too, but the balance remains on the sweet side. Some raspberry seeds nuttiness, and no real lambic funk. Unbeery.

2014 (2 year old bottle), Raspberries, mineral, soft sweetness, light fruit acidity, no funk, very clean and uninteresting.

Svartvit (832) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 30, 2017
From draft at Foeders. Pours a murky red with a pinkish frothy head. Extremely fruity, getting loads of cherries, raspberry, strawberry, hay, oak, sweet bready malts. It is overly sweet but the fruit flavor really pulls it together. Could do with an actually sour note, lovely mouthfeel though.

codfishh (202) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 16, 2017
Subtle grain with a big raspberry nose. Beautiful ruby color under a thin white head. Lightly tart with tons of raspberry flavor. This tastes more raspberry wheat than lambic but it’s still very nice.

rayaron (1920) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - JAN 14, 2017
Bottle shared at a tasting at zvsn’s place. Reddish with pinkish head. Sweetish aroma with lots of berries, strawberry and candy. Sweet flavor with notes of berries, strawberry jam, candy, funk, sourish, dry. Light to medium-bodied. Nice.

Good framboise, usual appearance, standard palate notes, maybe still a bit too sweet.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2017 Bottle from Importe de Biere in Strasbourg. Nose is fresh raspberry, strawberry, sweet and fresh. Palate is sour raspberry, some citrus. Finish is short and sour. Really nice, not too sweet.
