COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

375 mL bottle. Pours a deep red with pink head. The aroma is dominated by fresh raspberries; there is a faint mustiness behind the fruit. The flavor is much the same, fresh raspberries dominate, with a nice acidic twang to it. There is a musty note in the finish that lingers into the aftertaste. Pretty good, but lacks depth. I wonder if some extensive aging would make it less one-dimensional.

Nate (4263) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 21, 2011
On tap at The Lodge, Hilton Head. Nice fruity aroma, light raspberry notes with tart acidity and a bit of sweetness. Clear ruby red with light pink frothy head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Starts semi-dry, tart, and fruity. A bit dusty, perhaps oxidized, with a light fruity pith bitterness. Not as enjoyable as I would have liked - perhaps not many folks get it here.
