Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

Pours hazy yellow with a white, dissipating head. Sour, yet fruity nose. Tangy, sour fruitiness with hints of orange, some yeast. Refreshing arrival, and a dry finish. Respectable geuze.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours a deep golden yellow with a white head. Lovely clean sour grape, green apple, and tart lemon aroma, with prominent oaky notes. Tastes of sour grapes, tart green apple, with some lemon and woodiness. Long dry finish.

Pours golden yellow with a small white top. Aroma is light tartness, with some fruit and funk. Taste is a little funk, a little fruit, a little wood and a little flowery. All good, nice and delicate and awesome.

The beer pours a hazy straw colour with a generous off-white head that lasts a while. The aroma is sour grains, wood, some tart fruity notes, and yeast. The mouthfeel is very light bodied, and highly effervescent, very a propos for the style. The flavour has white wine characteristics with a light fruit tartness. It is a very good lambic

Fruity aroma, pours golden colour and clear. Sour taste wasn't expected as not common among the Belgian ales I've sampled. Not my favourite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2017 W aromacie delikatna skóra i cała masa owoców, jabłka, cytrusy. W smaku bardzo fajny kwas, taki jakby agrestowy, może winogrona ze skórką.

Tap. Hazy golden color. Small size, beige head, stays. Sour, apricots, leather, acidic in aroma. Acidic, peaches, apricots, bit earthy, wheaty in taste. Fruity, apricots in aftertaste. Acidic mouthfeel. Solid brew.

Piwo lekko metne w kolorze ciemno pomaranczowym z obfita biala sredniopecherzykowa piana. Dzikosc jak to w lambiku, zielone owoce i swiezy kwaskowy posmak. Zdecydowanie wytrawne z lekko tanicznym finiszem wysyceniem na wysokim poziomie. Bardzo dobre!

Bottle from LCBO. Pours an opaque deep golden colour with a small head that dissipates quickly. Fresh fruity aroma with notes of grapes and apples. Taste matches the aroma with a wine-like backbone with notes of barnyard toward the finish. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Alcohol is well concealed.

Textura acuosa y ligeramente efervescente. Buena.

Zilverenmaan (249) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUL 23, 2017
Aroma very noticable and complex: tart at first, then mostly sour apples. Taste very complex too: sour apples, followed by a distinctive and complex tartness, becominging softer towards the finish, some subtle bitterness, lingering. If I have to critisize: aftertaste maybe a bit too thin but all the subtle taste are still there to enjoy. Carbonation fine.
