Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

75cl bottle from QVID.be. Exp 29/10/2029. Pop the cork and this is a gusher, take care when opening! Light tart flavour, scent of gueuze! this is a really good gueuze, full of flavour, pours with a frothy soapy head that disappears quickly to a surprising flat beer, but not in a bad way. Bitter, sour and smooth.

From bottle in Belgian ale glass. First time Ive tried this style. Pours orangish yellow with frothy head and fruity & earthy nose. Forward tartness and lemon sourness but a bit more complex than a standard sour. It grew on me.

Bottle. The first Geuze I ever had. Pale golden with a small head. Aroma of dry fruits, reminds me of a really good german cider and a really good french white wine. Fruity, dry and very strong carbonation. Delicious. For special occasions.

Bardzo mocno wysycone. W smaku i zapachu dominuje przyjemna derka. Słodowość ma w sobie sporo słodyczy, ale całość oczywiście kwaśna. Zaskakuje spora jak na styl goryczka z ziołowymi nutami chmielu, ktry najwidoczniej nie był odpowiednio utleniony.

Bottle share at the brewery. Pours hazy pale gold with a lasting white head. Aroma of sour fruit, wood, leather, and straw. Light sweetness, medium sour. Light body, average carbonation. Finish is crisp, dry and sour.

Great one, a lot of leather, not very acidic, but really nice one. Could drink it a lot.

Bottle, thnx to Jimmy. Pours a clear golden straw yellow beer with a quickly disappearing off white head on top. Aroma has lots of barnyard funk, oak and horse blanket, typical gueuze aroma. Flavor is stringent and very tart, oaky and very dry. Quite high in carbonation, long in a stringent tarty aftertaste. Nice one.

Bottle shared with ebone1988 for the Koleminer20 turns 3k and Ebone1988 turns 1.6k Bonanza. 375 mL bottle, 2014 vintage. For the fucking book. The pour is a darker orangey gold with a thick white head and a couple spots of lace left behind. The aroma is dank as fuck. Holy funky weed. Got damn. Its got a light lemon zest about it with a decent sour and a lovely funky mineral on the back end. Its pretty awesome. Interesting, but well done. The flavor is incredibly sweet. There is a light metallic addition and a hint of zest and a light funkiness, but this is nothing like the aroma would lead on. Its a disappoinent, actually. The mouth feel is a bit syrupy and undercarbonated with a sweetness that doesnt belong on the back end. It started out so well, and fell flat.
