750 ml bottle at home, vintage 2015, shared by Werckmeister, many thanks! Pours a nearly clear, light wine-red with a slightly pinkish, quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of brett, leather, lightly musty, cherries and red berries. Medium body with a soft carbonation, a light to medium sourness and a very light residual sweetness. Flavor of sour cherries, citric acidity, lemon and mild woody notes. Finishes dry and slightly tart. Nice one with present funky notes and sour fruits.

750 ml bottle, 2015 vintage, shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Deep red body, with a medium, fluffy, pinkish head.
Aroma of funk, barnyard, wood, unripe fruits, sour cherries, some apples.
Tastes of sweet-sour cherries, wood, unripe fruits, peach, green apples, some funk, some vinegar.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium acidic, wooden, a bit funky, subtly sweet, with cherries, some apples.

Tasty. Really lovely nose, with lots of organic funk notes, combined with the cherries. Taste is a bit straighter, quite dominated by the cherries. Not my favourite Kriek, but a really lovely one.

Ktwse (5868) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2018
Pours deep cloudy burgundy red with tall light pink head. Aroma of cherries, almond icing, red berries, light grapes. Taste is medium cherry tart, crisp, berries, lingering dry and tarty finish. Light and crisp body with average carbonation. As krieks go, this is right up there. LPK and 3F Schaarbeekse slightly better but that’s about it.

czlowiekmotyka (651) - Warsaw, POLAND - DEC 26, 2017
2017 release. It has a real lambic smell but unfortunately in taste it is a bit like wild ale with cherries from USA - super sour one. Good but not great.

markextrae (4712) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2017
From bottle, deep intense cherry aroma, cinnamon pits, taste is more acidic, tart, citrus, strong tart cherries

I like that this new Oude Kriek from Oud Beersel is completely different than the regular one in their portfolio. The Schaarbeekse are bright and lovely on the nose but the acidity they bring is a tad too sharp for my liking. Secondary flavors include cinnammon, herbal notes and wooden notes.

bottle shared by tom10101, many thanks man! pours hazy bright red-purple with a nice creamy pink cap offering some retention and lacing. bretted cherries, tons of cinnamon, lots of herbal notes, medium acidity - potent citric acid from cherries; spices. bright carbonation, light body - oily; tart if not sour herbal-cinnamon finish. oude kriek has been preferred - still a very nice kriek wit nice funk, potent that is.
