UPDATED: AUG 21, 2017 375ml corked bottle from The Grumpy Goat, Reading. Dark amber colour with white head. Massive tartness, big sour apples, light vinegar, sour stewed apples, Belgian yeast, barnyard funk, sour grapes, light lemon juice, some champagne aspects, acidic, maybe some light blue cheese notes, light ginger, sour vermicelli soup, grapefruit juice. Great stuff.

Pullo @ K & S Beer & Tobacco, Brugge. Alla on yllättävän paljon (tyylin huomioiden) viljaista maltaisuutta happamuutta tukemassa. Maku on hyvin hyvin happaman omenainen ja rypäleinen, niiden alla on nahkaa ja brettamaista hivenen käynyttä hapanta hedelmäisyyttä. Mallaskin tuntuu jonkin verran, mutta jää happamuuden alle, mikä olikin odotettavissa. Suutuntuma on todella hapan, kuivattaen suuta, mutta maltaisuus tuo kuitenkin hivenen täyteläisyyttä. Todella hyvin sekoitettu lambic, happamuus on muikistavaa, mutta mallas kuitenkin hieman tasapainottaa mahdollistaen juotavuuden. Tuntumaltaan ehkä paras gueuze, mitä olen juonut. Aromimaailma pyörii tuoksussa nahkaisuuden ja maussa happaman omenaisuuden ympärillä, tykkään. Huipputuote.

A fine gueze. Good balance of stable, leather and hay. Sour but with a subtle finish. Nice.

750 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Cloudy golden with a large white head. Moderate tart aroma, green apples, funky yeast, wood and pilsnermalt. Taste reflects the aroma. Medium body. High carbonation. Low bitterness.

375 ml shared by AdamChandler, dude, much thanks! Vintage is 2012. The aroma shows light lemon juice, mild funky. Light baby diaper, mineral water hints. The flavor is not shockingly different, the Baby diaper is a huge factor to me. But this style itself is still something I am getting use to. I guess the diaper is mild. Pretty good.

Vinegar aroma, orange & deep yellow colour. Very drinkable with little carbonation. Some tartness, white wine like.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2017 37,5 cl bottle, served in a tumbler. Vintage: 2015/2016. Poured clear golden amber with a small half finger off white head. Loads of carbonation in glass. Aroma: barnyard, goat, blue cheese, citrus, menure, basement, leather, hay, rotten leaves in the autumn woods. Taste: sour but not overwhelming, citrus, oak, dry vinous tannine, granny smith apples, tart, vinegar, bitter, blue cheese, barnyard, clove, earth, cherries, leather, ginger. Very complex with a very sweet explosion of different tastes going on every time when you sip it. Love it how you can still taste the oak barrels and the bitterness in this piece of art, very champagne-like. I am drinking this how it is supposed to be drunk, at room temperature and loving every divine sip of it. Medium body with a long dry and sour bittersweet finish. A delicious piece of art, I tip my hat to monsieur Pierre Tilquin...Bravo!
