Pour is great hazy golden with a huge white tight bubble head that sticks to glass. Aroma is citrus and sour/ tart. Very earthy and sour with lemon rin notes that dryness that takes over the plate great. It’s like a lemon head with out the sweetness. Very good beer.

(Rating #4926)

Pouts a murky honey/gold color with a very small white bubbly head. Very tart and funky nose, lots of lemony citrus, wet grass, peppery, maybe some nice red fruits like strawberry or even raspberry, and some nice white grape notes reminiscent of a good white wine. Wow, amazing taste. Very musky, wet grass, tart taste, nice light fruity quality, peppery, wonderful earthy quality to the taste, great level of sourness that isn’t overbearing, and there’s some nice maltiness there. Medium carbonation and light to medium mouthfeel. It’s great now, though I will definitely have to set some down for a few years.

Bottle - Pours light amber w/ white frothy head. Smells of some funk, tart, lemons. It’s very well rounded. A nice balance of tart and sour with a little pepper feel at the end. So good!!!

Tasted this more times, first dec. 2011 from bottle. Hazy copper-orange color, with medium head. Aroma: wet wood, fruits, vinegar like. Medium body. Taste: fantastic, apricot, wheat, dry, yeasty, more fruity and sweet than regular gueuze.
