Appearance is a deep rich peach colour. Aroma is strong funk - promising! Taste is rich bold funk and sour fruit pepperiness. Delicious. Palate brings the lasting sour. Not a terribly complex example of the style, but very very enjoyable with plenty of sour chops. Overall, one of my favourite guezes thus far.

750 ml bottle (6,4%). A hazy medium to dark blonde beer, with a large, fizzy, mostly lasting, white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately yeasty (barnyard, horseblanket, cheese), with notes of straw, apple and lemon. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, dry, long finish with light bitterness. Surely a new favorite among Lambics. Curious aroma of Parmesan cheese. Not extreme as other examples, and it dosen’t lack complexity. Quaffable and world class.

2011/12 bottle poured into a tulip snifter. pours a hazy golden amber with a thin white head. smells tart, some hay/barnyard, some breadiness. Taste is very tart up front that is livened with lots of carbonation. Tastes of earth, hay, and some vinegar; pretty abrupt finish that is a gentle bitter.

2011 bottle. Pours a pale, orange-shaded gold color. Quite cloudy. Small white head, lots of little bubbles. Aroma has lots of earth, sour lemons and a pleasant mineral tone. Lots of musty fruit - apples, berries, grapes. Medium vinegar and oak. Taste is sour lemons upfront, then some fruity malt flavor and back to more sourness that follows through into a long-lasting finish. Fairly dry. Solid pucker. Nice tannic oak flavor. Mouthfeel is a light sparkle on top of a relatively full body for a lambic. This is an excellent beer, and it’s wonderful to have another traditional lambic brewer available in local stores. I hope to see more lambics available from Tilquin in the future.

375ml bottle from 2011/2012. Very carbonated. Pours hazy golden orange with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma sour, horse, lemon. Taste tart and bitter at the back of the throat. Lingers for a while. Very nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful lemon and oak aroma. Puffy and light in texture. Like an awesome apple cider vinegar in a way.

0.375l corked bottle. Shiuld be perfect for a hot lazy Sunday afternoon watching the Wimbledon final huh? It pours a great looking glowing honey-orange colored body with a small light bubbly white head. The aroma is fruity and dry-sour. It can in some way remind me a bit of manure that has been added paint thinner - only in a good way. Also it’s tones of leafs and sour lemons. It smells really nice indeed. The taste is sour with not ripe lemons, it’s fruity with gooseberries and white currants. Has a nice oily texture with a average+ carbonation level. Lot’s of grapy citrus all the way and there is also some green apples and sour nectarines going on here. So refreshing! 08.07.2012
