375ml bottle. Pours orange/gold with a touch of bubbly white froth which recedes quickly. Plenty of lemon, cider vinegar, and dusty, earthy yeast funk on the nose. Taste follows up with a big hit of tart lemon juice and lemon rind, old leather, yeast funk, touch of sour cider vinegar, earthy notes - lovely citric tang to it. Well balanced for sure, and there’s quite a bit of depth in the tart aftertaste - lingers nicely. A very tasty gueuze, not quite as complex a taste sensation as can be found in the 3F version, but still a magnificent piece of sour ale brewing that I thoroughly enjoyed. my 2nd Lambic on zwanze day. Pours yellow with white head and tart acidic nose. Tastes grassy, of lemon, woody, some barnyard funk. Crisp and plenty tarty sourness. Straightforward gueze but very well done and delicious. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 27, 2012
375mL bottle BB 2/10/2021. Poured medium orange with a short, but well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up bright acidity and funk, with lemon rind and foot-like notes.. old oak, leather, and vinegar.. very assertive and interesting. The flavor opened with tangy lemon and vinegar, with very dry oak and a touch of bready character behind.. lemon rind and fruity funk were laced throughout.. never too aggressive or off-balance.. really tasty! Moderate-plus sourness on the palate, and it worked well.. this went down very easily, and I want more. Reynolds314 (3459) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Really nice clean crisp tart and mildly funky gueuze. Another great example of the style with tons of flavor. Not as complex or amazing as 3F but still a fine beer. johnnnniee (4343) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a huge bubbly white head that held on for over a half hour while I made dinner! Wonderful tart and fruity and funky aroma. Smells of lemons, sour oranges and sour apples, pepper and yeast esters, a bit of funk and a hint of acetic. The flavor is a nice mix of funk and tart with peppery and yeasty funk up front followed by some light tart fruits, plastic phenols, and finishing with a long lingering lactic and lemon finish. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a tart funky lightly puckering mouthfeel. I can see what all the fuss is about here this is a damn fine example of the style if not a hint on the bold side of things. I really enjoyed this, if only they sold it local to me.

750 ml green bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma brings lemons, some green apples, black pepper, funk. Really lovely. The taste has more green apples, sharp lemony twang, and a little bit of doo doo flavors. It follows with a very dry finish. Big wave of mouth puckering and its sparkly in the mouth. This is a great gueuze and I would recommend seeking it out. I know I will. Huhzubendah (3709) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 21, 2012
More gueuze on the beach? Well...ok.
Hazy orange with a big, white head and plenty of lacing. Similar nose to the Girardin black label, though perhaps just a notch less. The flavor is of authentic Belgian gueuze lambic, though perhaps more raw and aggressive than is customary. Sharp and acetic , though not quite harsh. Lots of oak. Citrus notes are there as well. Acetic finish, light burn. Overall, a really enjoyable beer. Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2012
375ml bottle. Slightly hazy gold with short white head. Aroma is basically just how I want a gueuze to smell. All kinds of microfauna buzzing around and a cheesey, earthy funk in the aroma. Tastes of apple, sharp lemon, white grape and oak. Particularly dry. Will surely improve with age but my young-ish bottle tastes like a very good example of the style. wow I’m really starting to like guezes. Great subtle farm flavors. Not as awesome as c-Los tunic. Impressive stuff crossovert (13078) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2012
A nice blend of tartness, sourness, citrus rind, funk, and oak. It is carefully and well-blended.
