Draft at brewpub. Smell of wheat and lemon. very refreshing. Fruity taste with a hint of lemon. Good spring beer. Wish I had some right now. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 15, 2008
Hazy apple juice body with small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, bubblegum, some lemon, light clove. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, some bubblegum. Light body, some crispness. Miver (609) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 19, 2008
On tap at brew pub. Poured cloudy gold in color with thin white head. Aroma of STRONG lemongrass. Taste is the same with hints of straw, ginger, and bananas. The finish was overall slightly tart and dry but, overall the lemongrass taste just consumed everything else a little too much. realale420 (399) - west covina, California, USA - SEP 21, 2007
Tap poured a clear yellow color with white head. Aroma was heavy lemon with a touch of wheat. The flavor was like a lemongrass shot with not much of a body or beer taste at all. Finish was dry. JFURYCAT (1078) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 8, 2007
I enjoyed this thirst quenching hefe which definitely has a strong lemongrass flavor going on for it and some crispy sour qualities along with not too much sweetness. I was surprised I was given a lemon to put into it, I’m not sure it could get any boost there. The body isn’t too complex thought but it makes for a great summer beer inside a brewpub which lacks A/C where you wait 45 minutes.

Hazy deep straw pour, with a decent head and lace. The nose is spot-on for banana. Banana flavors, with lemon zest, wheat and clove... well-integrated. The clove provides a lightly numbing finish. It has a smooth mouthfeel with a light body. Since it is a late summer seasonal, I wish it were a bit crisper. Otherwise, quite well done. A sleeper from OBBS. hogan873 (451) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - OCT 7, 2006
A fantastic beer for a hot summer day. I sampled this beer two days after Hurricane Isabel...then promptly ordered several pint glasses worth! Very light and refreshing with a tartness infused by the lemongrass. Finishes clean and begs you to order another! Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 4, 2006
Per the bar manager, they only do this one once a year, and it is a favorite of the owner when it comes around. Bright hazy yellow, decent head. Slight lemon and citrus aroma. Flavor was a straightforward wheat with notes of lemon and hay, rather pleasant. Nice mouthfeel. Many (including the bar manager I spoke to), seemed to think this beer was a lemon blast, but I thought it nicely balanced. Enjoyable brew. Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - OCT 23, 2005
On tap at the Brewgrass Festival in Asheville, they weren’t lying when they named it. Very lemon, almost to the point of lemon scented lysol. Not a fan. Veeve (312) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2005
on tap at the Asheville brewfestival.
