Tap. Brown with hint of amber. Smell of rosted nuts. Taste of chocolate with some big time nuttiness. It was almost a burnt nutiness. This was the best nut brown ale I have ever sampled. IT just hit my tastes perfectly. timsilvia32 (449) - from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 5, 2008
Visited Kitty Hawk over Memorial Day. Pretty good nut brown. Amber in appearance. Nutty with slight spice, maybe hazelnut. Maybe a little toffee. Pretty clean with a good amount of carbonation. My favorite beer of the 2 I tried. TheBeerGod (6209) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - JUN 21, 2008
Draft at OBBS on Friday June 13th. Coppery brown pour. Nose is very nutty with lots of spicy and earthy hops. Taste is equally nutty with chocolate, spicy and earthy hops, raw peanuts or maybe even pecans and some cocoa. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Ends with more nutty flavors, chocolate covered peanuts, cocoa, and spicy hops.
