Draft at the Portland Blending and Bottling location. Unclear gold pour. Heavy head and lace. Oak, funk and lots of yeast. Funky and fairly dry. Bitter, oak close. Well made.

Bottle shared @ Borefts Pre-tasting. Clear yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly hayish, lightly funky, very nicely melow fruity, peach, slight tangerine. Very nice.

Bottle @ Oxbow. Cloudy golden beer with a tall white head. Has a really nice yeast driven/estery fruitiness of pineapple, orange, tangerine, and grapefruit. Solid start! Tropical and grassy qualities are quite pronounced both on the aroma and flavor. Lightly tart with a bit of biscuit and honey sweetness. Finishes with a touch of earthy bitterness. A good beer.

(500ml March 2016 bottle from Mikkeller and Friends Bottleshop, Copenhagen) Rather a gusher. Pours slightly hazed medium gold with a big white head that fades to a ring with lace. Aroma of white grapes, quite tart white wine on the path to vinegar, lemon acidity, fruit skins, oak, herbal/floral hoppy notes, a decent helping of earthy, lightly sulphurous funk. Flavour is quite dry overall, slightly crackery mixed-grain malt feeling, quite a lot of dry tannic oak, hay, herbal hops, slightly tart citrus fruit quality with a little unripe pit fruit. The finish is extremely dry, a lot of neutral, tannic oak, bittering hops, dusty Brett, herbs, citrus pith. Medium bodied, slightly oily, soft effervescent carbonation. Really solid dry funky BA saison, heavy on the wood end of things, nice brew.

Shelton 2017. Pours a hazy golden yellow with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma of big funky brett notes, a hint of vanilla oaky must, and a nice citrus undertone. Taste follows, big flavor all around, with a nice soft balance and mouthfeel. Would love to taste a bottle with a bit of age on it, but tasty even how it is.
