COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmhouse Pale Ale is our American interpretation of a hoppy saison. Belgian pilsner malt provides the base for an abundance of American hops and our farmhouse yeast to shine together in this refreshing ale.

Sample at the Portland tasting room. Slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of funky yeast, citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, funky citrus, grassy hops and malt. The finish is Belgian yeast and citrusy hops. Above average overall.

2017-10-01. Crisp yellow body, moderate wwhite head . 3+ Aroma has grassy lightly grainy character. Allusions to honeyed malt. Flavour is lightly bitter, grassy, lightly grainy pale malt. Average bodied palate, soft to low carbonation. 3+ Just okay. 6/3/6-7/3/13-14 On tap at Birreria Volo, Toronto.

tmoreau (4631) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2017
On tap at The Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn, IL., and snifter served showing a slightly hazed, golden hue, a decent layer of white froth, with wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was light yeast, floral perfume & spice, with a hint of bubblegum, cider-like apple, lemon, and pit fruit. Medium bodied, with good carbonation, the taste was similar notes, including earthy & rind-like bitterness, a bit of tartness, and some dryness to the finish. Just enough American tweaking.

Draft. As pale ale. This one is decent, some spice notes to go with amero hops, new brewery to chicago.

Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of nice funky farmhouse notes over lemon and mild acidity. Taste follows, nothing over the top, nothing bad, really well done tart saison. I could drink this all summer long.
