Boutip (6483) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 8, 2017
Bottle: Poured a bright hazy golden color ale with a small fuzzy head with limited retention. Aroma of light fruity ester with some strong Brett notes with funky ester. Taste is mostly dominated by the Brett notes with light cereal notes and some fruity ester. Body is about average with fizzy carbonation. Interesting but Brett has really taken over and dominated over the other flavours.

Draft at Oxbow Blending. Pours golden and slightly opaque with a thin white head. Not a ton of carbonation. Nice perfume notes on the nose and tongue. Finished with more than a fair amount of tartness. Nice!

Gott!

500 ml bottle purchase at Spruce Creek Provisions. Fresh bottle. Pale hazy golden color, fast fleeting head. The aroma is bold Brett, mild of citrus and oak in the background.

The flavor shows the citrus upfront in the form of lemon. The backbone of the grain definitely has a lighter feel and shows mild rice tones. Almost reminds me of a sake element. The texture is bone dry and lightly funky from the oak and brettanomyces hints. Overall very refreshing and although pricy, I enjoyed the hell out of this!
