Bottle at my parents. Brown colour with a thin white head. Light, citrus hop notes roll gently into roasted hazelnut, toffee and caramel malt flavours. Easy drinking. invinoveritas (156) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2016
Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy ochre with a fairly insistent head. A complex nose but with unfortunate note that’s a little bit too much like vomit. Fizzy but creamy mouthfeel with a somewhat burnt sweetness on the taste and a countervailing, encompassing sourness - like a cross between a Berliner Weisse and toffee. An interesting, sour, fizzy dunkelweiss. Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 27, 2014
Bottle. Hazy brow pour with a small head. Fruit, caramel and toffee. Light to medium body with slightly bitter finish. Easy to drink. Not offensive. Not bad but not exciting jinroh (1578) - ESTONIA - NOV 25, 2013
330 ml bottle from a mall in Utsunomiya. Pours hazy brown with a small head that is gone in a few seconds. Aroma is quite faint, some yeast, a bit of sour alcohol, tropical fruits. Taste is more roasty, some toffee and black bread - mixed with some notes of sour yeast. A bit of hop bitterness remaining on your tongue at the end. Overall pretty decent, nicely drinkable beer. Bottle. Yeah, this was strange alright, but I think they just pulled it off. Cloudy brown body with a fluffy head. Skunky sweet aromas of malt, toffee, sour fruit. Medium body, low carbonation. Sticky, slightly creamy mouthfeel, with layers of caramel, brown bread and fruit. Tastes better than it sounds here. Ridiculous mix on paper, but not too bad.

Botella at "home" in Obatake mura, Yamaguchi. Hazy dark brown colour, medium beige head, creamish. Sweet well toasted malty caramel yeasty aroma, bit chocolate. Good mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, pleanty of well toasted malt and caramel with yeast along with little fruit underneath it all and bit chocolate. Fair enough. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 11, 2013
Bottle at home. Dark amber colour with small golden head. Aroma is spicy, caramel, bit of smoke even, but a fire burning something interesting, not your regular meaty smoke smell. Some dark fruit there too, burnt toast. Taste is interesting, strange creaminess, with a roasty and slightly burnt malty finish. Maybe even slightly bubblegummy in the sweetness right at the start. Quite unusual. Maybe a bit light bodied, but not that off-putting. Something savoury in there too, maybe my usual soy sauce. Brown bread. Quite its strangeness. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 10, 2010
On tap at Popeye. Cloudy orangey brown with a small head. Fruity aroma. Banana and caramel flavours, some subdued spices. A well-made dunkelweizen. KyotoLefty (10254) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 16, 2008
Bottle from Yamaoka.
Medium brown with orange, lowish head. Cloudy. Aroma of chocolate, banana, spice; medium richenss. Rich malt flavor, lots of chocolate, some caramel, bananas. Slightly sweet but rather well balanced with a bit of sour. Full palate, relatively heavy. Well made dunkel weizen--not spectacular, but nice. Capa (3295) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - DEC 12, 2007
amber color with a nice off-white head. Sweet malty aroma, fresh fruits, cherry, and a touch of oak. Nice body. Flavor isn’t as sweet or fruity as the aroma, more malts and iron. Nothing memorable good or bad with this one.
