Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Note: Dropped from 11.5° and 5.2% to 11° and 5.0% in late 2009/early 2010.

Green half litre bottle at home. Gift from my wife. Pours a clear golden, sparkling body with a foamy, white, fingerthick head. Aroma has light malts, sugar and mild hints of hops and wood. Light to medium body. Carbonation a tad sharp with a metallic tongue. Bitter and light sweet with a papery taste and texture. I’m not really much of a pilsner fan, I guess. Just can’t work up any enthusiasm about it.

I remember cracking a can of Ozujsko for the first time with a close friend and after our first sip, we both turned to each other and said it really didn’t have much flavour. But, we proceeded to drown it back and proclaim it one of the more refreshing beers we’ve ever had.

330ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is cereal grains and faint hops. Taste is light malty sweet with a moderate hoppy bitterness. Nothing really special here, just another low quality lager.

Clear, golden lager. Canned corn taste with a distinct and not overwhelming hop profile. Watery and typical of the style.

Rather sweet corn aroma. Clear golden body is topped by a low fine bubbled white head that recedes to a thin but lasting cover. Flavour is sweet candied corn with light offsetting bitterness. Light body with strong carbonation. Can purchased at the BCLS at Harbourfront.

AROMA::slightly sulphuric.some malt hops, rather faint APPEARANCE: golden yellow with a nice white head TASTE:kind of oxidized, with a faint malt and hop combo Bland is the word that comes to mind PALATE:light bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Approximately equal to Budweiser US. OVERALL: Don’t waste your money on this. Go Buy bud or TNT or lucky lager or Boxer and get the same non-descript beer. If you can call it beer.

I don’t know about compact foam but this one is an average EPL, nothing lose to a pilsener.

czar (9092) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 18, 2011

Lagerboy (2206) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 6, 2011
500 ml can. Golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, light malts and grain. Taste is light sweet malts and a mild hoppiness. Light dry finish. An enjoyable tasty pilsener! LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

First sip is below average and from there begins this beer’s steady decline into foulness. I’m annoyed the beer comes in a tall can - means finishing the thing is more of an effort. A sour chemically aftertaste with absolutely no first taste.
