Kastaņkrāsas brūnais eils, kura smaržā dominē svaigi ceptas maizes, riekstu un cepumu notis. Garšā karameļu un viegli grauzdētie iesali sastop apiņu rūgtumu, kas pāriet vidēji sausā nobeigumā. EBC 43 IBU 27.

A chestnut coloured brown ale with aromas of freshly baked bread, nuts and notes of cookies. A caramel and lightly roasted malt taste meets with hop bitterness, ending with a slight dryness. EBC 43 IBU 27

CloakedDagger (2794) - - SEP 12, 2017
Bottle 50 cl. Pours an orangey amber with a small, beige head. Nutty, slightly greasy aroma. Medium body, nutty, some sweet caramel and hardly any hops. Pretty generic Brown Ale but without major flaws. 120917

Хорош браун эль, очень приятен. Не знаю как по цене, но в целом весьма и весьма.

Khosrove (93) - LATVIA - APR 25, 2017
A simple and pleasant brown ale. Quite malty and bready. Sweet but not overwhelmingly.

phfyysik (1427) - Tartu, ESTONIA - JAN 4, 2017
Pours brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is fruts, citrus, caramel, toffee, bread, oily notes. Taste is oily, creamy, caramel, bread, some fruits, citrus, nuts. Nice beer!

larsga (7657) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2015
Big beige head. Clear brown body with strong carbonation. Earthy dusty rye aroma with sugary mineraly notes. Dryish roasty mineraly taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-acidic earthy roasty bubblegum aftertaste with mineraly caramelly mealy notes. Mealy flavour lingers. Interesting. It’s drinkable, very different, but harmonic. The mealiness is really the biggest issue. (0.5l bottle, from somewhere in Riga.)

lobs_ols (452) - LATVIA - OCT 30, 2014
Opaque dark brown with a strong beige head. Roasted malt, bread, slight hint of sour. Maybe some nuts, not sure. Lovely bready-biscuity flavour with a balanced bitterness. Warming bitter and roasted malt finish. This is a mighty fine autumn beer.

ramboraffe (2257) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2014
500 ml bottle. Hazy brown with tanned head. Smell is roasted malt and bitter hops. Taste is bitter hops and bread and roasted malt. Dry.

lyfre (4) - Lycksele, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2014 does not count
Bottle. Pours nice and clear with about 1 finger of slightly brown foam. Color is dark brown with a tint of red. On the nose you get some caramel, bread, hazelnuts and slight vanilla. When you get it in your mouth it has a medium body and dry modest bitterness. You get a lot of bread and roasted malts flavors in the aftertaste. A nice bitter that would go well with some rustic food.

Tap (ALEhouse, Riga)
Messy mash, dirty but grainy aroma. Big malty body, a touch dusty, some husks. Simple but decent brown bitter.

Marduk (8404) - Reval, ESTONIA - JAN 17, 2014
Tap. Hazy chestnut color. Small size, off-white head, stays. Not much of aroma, but caramel and sourness are detectable. Caramel, grains, toffee, mild minerals in taste. Nice roasty bitter aftertaste. It doesn’t feel fresh. Maybe slightly gone off.
