Drank from a can. Appearance is clear golden with a very small white head. Aroma is yeast, grain and musty basement. Mouth tastes like wet crackers and cardboard. My go to cheap beer.

Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart

Yes, I am giving PBR a high rating, it is the king of the "Great for what it is" family. For my money the best domestic/macrobrew available in the US. My go-to for a backyard party, day at the beach or long weekend of drinking and hanging out. I dont give it a 3.8 compared to Sculpin IPA, but rather a 3.8 compared to Bud, Miller or Coors. A solid lawnmower beer with some character.

12 oz can. Not much depth of flavor, its thin bodied with a little bit of corn sweetness and light mouth feel. Refreshing and nice change of pace. Overall one of the better cheap beers.

500ml can. Pours golden yellow colour. Corn, metallic notes, sweetness, hints of malts in the aroma. Bit malty, watery at first. Slight sweetness, metallic notes in the middle. Bit malty, watery, slightly bitter finish. Light bodied, rather watery, high csrbonation. Nothing to say, really. Usual mass-produced lager. But not a good one. Even in this category.

Can at a Halloween Party in NYC, should be a perfect beer for such an event. Honestly, it isnt. Its an okay lager with a medium malty body and a crisp taste but its ugly sweetish. Not mine.

Yeara ago, I said I will drink a PBR when the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. So here I am drinking a beer I once swore I would never touch. And its not half bad. Pours clear straw yellow with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled, if not persistent, ivory head. Aroma presents typical crisp lager malt. Flavor is typical of a lager, malty woth a bit of pear. Mouthfeel offers average body and fizz. Hey, its actually palatable - but cant wait to return to craft brews. Congratulations Cubbies!
