Since 2001, contract-brewed for Pabst Brewing (San Antonio), as Pabst no longer owns a brewery of its own.

Established in Milwaukee in 1844, this is the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Nature’s choicest products provide its prized flavor. Only the finest of hops and grains are used. Selected as America’s Best in 1893.

Though an incredibly popular beer for ultra-pretentious hipsters, PBR falls short on all counts. It’s a weak brew that has a terrible taste and will, as one of my friends eloquently put it, "burn your throat off." If it were up to me, I’d give this beer the white ribbon.

Can. Clear yellow body, medium white head with average retention and not a lot of lacing. Aroma of corn, wet cardboard, skunky herbs and green apricots. Taste of grains, corn, grass and some metallic notes. Drinkable, nothing more.

355 ml can in a Park in London. Classic standard commercial beer. It pours clear orange. Aroma is most malty. Not so much. Taste is medium bitter. Body is light, texture is watery, carbonation is average. Overall? No please.

PBR is America. It tastes like Abe Lincoln freeing the slaves. It tastes like revolution. This is the beer that Sam Adams would've actually been drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pbr is not an amazing beer, but when I need a cheap beer to drink this is the one I drink hands down ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From old tasting notes. Pale greenish gold color. Creamy white head. Faint sour malt aroma. Clean tasting, light flavorful brew has zesty carbonation. Lacks any real body or character. Light dry finish and aftertaste.

It is what it is: cheap, cold, refreshing, American and a typical session beer. Don’t like it, don’t buy it. I enjoy drinking this watery swill when I don’t feel like a heavy IPA, Porter or Stout. This is to say, this goat pee has its merits!

17Beer (343) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Faint aromas of grass and yeast. Pours a pale yellow with a small head and lots of lacing. Fresh solid lager tastes. Nothing too distinctive but it’s been around forever I guess for a reason.

azzurro (214) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 20, 2017
Another classic common beer. Nothing special, just like the others common from the 80’s. No match against the good tasty craft beers or the superior quality ones.

Padedze (49) - - MAY 20, 2017
Part of a 4 beer flight at TJ Stone , Washington DC in May 2017. A Not beer. No real character for a lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
