golden straw body with a white head. aroma is sour corn and some other strange bile like odor. ugh, this is rotten, tastes like cement. how the hell can someone sell something that tastes like warm cement and not put a big label on it that says, "warning tastes like cement, only to be consumed by people who have lost their sense of taste or masochists". this is rancid, i hope it doesn’t damage my plumbing when i pour it out.

Pours a very very very pale yellow color with a super tiny amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is metal and corn though even that is not very distinct. Flavor is watery, smooth, and slightly sweet. Overall, a good quencher on a hot day, but overall, not worth trying.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2008 [bottle - 12 oz] Yellow pour with no head. Lots of carbonation though. No aroma to speak of. Almost no flavor as well. Very watery and left no aftertaste. I expected this though. When the bartender asks you three times if you want a lime in a beer, there’s a good chance that it needs it. If the lime wasn’t there, I’d have sworn I was drinking water.

Better than your average pale lager and better than what you can normally get at a mexican restaurant.

Bottle. Funny, all these years that I’ve drank this beer, I had never poured it into a glass. Well, appearance is not its strongsuit, pale yellow with pretty much no head. I still like the way it tastes with good mexican food. The palate is simple and thin but I can still knock down a few on a hot summer day.

From what i remember it was not a very good beer. This is one of those that i will have to come back and rerate once i can remember what it actually tastes like.

Yellow with some head, which happens to be white and fully diminishing. Bready malt, stale cardboard aroma. DMS and corn aroma, with a similar taste. Macroswill dog urine. There are hops on the label but they are hard to find in the beer. Watery and hard to finish. Unpleasant. Sadly enough, Corona is a better choice. Looks better than it smells, and smells better than is tastes.

Pour was a light golden with a thin white head. Well-carbonated and lively mouthfeel. Aroma was somewhat musty with some indistinguishable lighter fruit and some spices in there. Flavor was quite bland, but not offensive... picked up a little fruit, wheat, and corn.

This brew fills a niche: beer to drink outside in the sun on a hot day with friends. It is not a great beer, nor can it hold a candle to a great IPA, bock, or stout. But, do you really want to drink one of those on the beach in Rosarito?

12 oz bottle at Casa Fiesta - Poured pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is of grain and a little corn. Taste is just about the same. Another one where you better use the lime if you want any taste at all. Better than an American macro but not by much.
