Black pour, smaller tan head. Cherry, dark malt aroma, light whiskey. Drinks like a cherry Liqueur. Cherry, dark chocolate, light roasted malt, Slightly boozy. Medium to heavier body, softer carb. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - DEC 15, 2016
Strangely dont have a rate for this from the old bottle with the sticker, but the new one has it’s own label. Deep brown with foamy head. Aroma is dark fruits, slightly vinous, chocolate. Flavour is milk chocolate, light bourbon, sour cherry, raisin. Overall it’s good, fruit stouts just arent my thing. bdleedahl (478) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - JUN 29, 2016
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2017 This is the new 2016 "cherry monkey". The stout itself is very nice, thick and heavy. The cherry flavour is quite mild and largely overpowered by the base malts. Especially considering how many cherries the brewer told me they used. Nothing off about this. The alcohol warmth makes this a perfect winter sipper. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone dfearnley (2247) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 13, 2015
Bottle to pint glass. Just got home from a run. I burned too many calories and my calves hurt. I need to replenish those calories and kill some pain. A 10% stout sounds about right. Milk chocolate, sour cherry, plum brandy, brown sugar, bread and toasted malts. Deep opaque brown with a 3 cm frothy head with decent retention. There is lacing, but it is spotty and bubbly. Taste is molasses, cherry, plum, with burnt malt and a decent bitter aftertaste. cfrancis (3514) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2015
Pours black with a small off white ring. Taste is cherry tartness, light toasted malts and bitter chocolate and hops. Perhaps a little too tart and not enough smoothness.

930 am 2nd tick’o’the’day on Cascades 501 from Tacoma to Portland Union, thanks to Ferris for the Province tick, 08/11/14.
Pitch black with a decent tan covering.
Nose carries bourbon notes, earthy roast, dark berry fruits, woody barrel, chocolate, leather, dark malts, tarte cherry tunes.
Taste comprises tangy cherries, light coconut shavings, musty red berry licks, touch lactic, bourbon notes, chocolate.
Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Nice impy, tangy cherry berry and ABV well integrated, another good breakfast beer! Boutip (6433) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 3, 2014
Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a medium size dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some black chocolates notes with a hint of cherry also noticeable is enticing. Taste is dominated by rich black chocolate notes with some dry roasted malt notes with very subtle notes of cherry. Body is pretty full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed but doesn’t taste as close as cherry blossom as I would have expected. keeganrohovich (6) - saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CANADA - AUG 20, 2014 does not count
On tap at the woods ale house. Pours black with a thin layer of head. Cherry on the nose. Tart cherry taste. Not as much of the big chocolate and booziness that I love in imperial stouts. Not bad. Very wet. jtclockwork (16951) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 28, 2014
Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose/taste of roast chocolate, blac and dark cherry, dusty cocoa, whiskey, oak and earth. Lighter medium body. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle @ Presidential Suite. Thanks to the Canadian Contingent. Black pour without much head or carbonation. Tons of roast, coffee, and chocolate. Black cherry, some grenadine, and a nice vanilla note. Sort of some dusty cocoa, too. Flavor has a nice bitterness of roasted malt and some ash. Sweet grenadine and black cherry soda. Vanilla and a bit of molasses. Good dark chocolate flavor and coffee, too.
