355ml bottle pours amber in color with a small white head that leaves some specks of lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild malts and hops. Taste is light caramel sweetness with a mild hoppy bitterness. A decent amber ale which is good for an evening of drinking. paco (576) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - JAN 16, 2010
Old review from 2007. Skunky aroma. Some malt. Very thin body and taste. Not much. Some malts. Some light caramel. Thin body. Boring beer. VertBaconStrips (2428) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - DEC 23, 2009
Wow. How old is this piece of paper? Maybe spring 2008. Orange brew with a small white head, good retention and sticky ropy lacing. Strong toasted malts on the nose, bready with a bit of caramel. The taste seems a bit watered down but there is an ok amount of malts - bready ones but the hops kind of ruin this. Stiff bitterness that is not harsh but seem on the herbal side here and there. Tingly with lots of carbs, upfront bitterness without a lot of length. An interesting spice peeks through on the finish. Not a fan. Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - FEB 6, 2009
Pours from the bottle a copper-red color with a thin white head. Aroma is a heavy toasted malt scent with hints of walnut nuttiness and some light earthy hops hints. Flavor is fantastic, toasted malt flavor reigns through the tasting. The middle picks up on a pretty bitter/sour noble hops-ish flavor and ends the beer finishes with a nice smooth nutty tone. Carbonation is very low but the mouth feel is moderately heavy which seems to balance the flavor of the beer very well. Overall the nuttiness is terrific and the malty character really does make this a beer to seek out from this fantastic brewery! Sampled at beerfest, and recently from a 6-pack purchased at Sherbrooke by Parksy. Caramel malt, earthy hop profile, low bitterness. Nice and easy drinkin’.

Pours light amber red, thin head. Bready, caramel aroma. Light roasty caramel and some sweetness. Some hops. presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - APR 25, 2008
Sample at Beerfest 2008. This one did not work for me. Maybe I need more exposure. Dark amber. Vanilla and caramel scent. Smooth start and then a shocking harsh bit at the end. Toffee and hops seeming to clash. Enniskillen (2061) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAR 3, 2008
Bottle from CapFlu. Light amber, thin white head. Aroma is a sweet tea like aroma, lightly roasty, light caramel. Taste is lightly hoppy, nice smooth maltiness, crystal malt shows very strongly. CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 4, 2008
(Bottle) Pours a medium white head and a copper coloured body. Nose is toasty, a clean cracker malt. Very good roast flavour, tart biting hop into the finish. Nice execution. Reminds me of LAmère à Boire Drak in Montreal. Good malt, very European and clean. God I love this brewery. I cannot wait until they invade Vancouver Island.
