PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.
Sold as Palm outside of Europe.

Tap in Antwerp at: Le restaurant Noorderterras on the harbor. Dark amber color with a frothy beige head that laces. A light oaky aroma? Near medium body with creamy carbonation. A herbal/caramel flavor. The herbal flavor runs through it. Finishes rather dry, with reminiscences of fruit. Suspect this is a common beer, but it drinks very well.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a little creamy white head. Vague malt aroma. Flavour is mild yeasty to a solid caramel malt note. Light bitterness and herbal note. Light yeasty finish.

Amber coloured beer with medium white head. Herby aroma. Full palate. Finish is herby and little dry.

A balanced, mild and slightly boring ale. Drinkable in a session sort of way, and I can see drinking this all day at the lakeshore while soaking bait. No flavors jump out at me. Mild grainy goodness, slight hop finish for balance. Decent though.

zeer fris, thuis geproeft. zacht bitter aroma met bittere caramelachtige moutsmaak. Ook is de bitterheid lang na te proeven in de afdronk. Veel gelijkenis (iets bitter) dan de Palm Speciaal

Bottle, 500 ml, brown
No head, lively carbonation, very nice deep amber colour, Aroma of malt, plum, Flavour; malty, sweet, fruity, some caramel and apple, lagerish but the taste is deeper and "fuller", smooth and medium to full bodied, yeast, very nice to drink, nothing disturbing.

Mmmmm sa di miele caramello e granturco... non sapevo che aspettarmi, ma sicuramente mi aspettavo di meglio.

badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAR 17, 2008
Reddish golden with a fizzy white head. Faint Belgian yeast aroma. Crisp bready taste with some fruity notes and a grainy finish.

Bottle that I picked up from somewhere, somehow in summertime, to quote a Simple Minds lyric (coz I think I got it last summer) Pours amber with large white head and a steady persistent rising of bubbles. Started off a bit malty but finishes with some bitterness, it’s a bit mellow, safe and thin, ok.
