Amber Ale is Palmetto’s most popular and best brew. The color is typical of the style. It is a fairly thick brew. I love the body and malt character. The hops are expertly balanced too. I crave this sometimes but distribution is very limited.

ManVsBeer (10766) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2017
Bottle from Publix Supermarket, Lexington, South Carolina. Dark clear amber with a small carbonation and a very thin head. Strongish, with this brew at 5.8%, but a robust light fruitiness is also evident. Hops too.

JDBaker11058 (2310) - Maryland, USA - MAY 26, 2017
appearance: clear reddish brown, creamy tan head. aroma: malty caramel, cardboard, toast, earthy, herbal hop notes. taste: muddled caramel and cardboard, earthy nuttiness, vegetal hops. finish: slightly butterscotchy, making me think perhaps a bad or too-old bottle. notes: Finished half, ended up a drain pour. Tasted off, but it could just be a lousy beer.

aracauna (3637) - Georgia, USA - JUL 30, 2016

Blah. Bottle at East Bay poetry night in Charleston. Malty sweet with a cardboard finish.

bigbish (713) - California, USA - MAY 22, 2016
An easy drinking amber ale, nice flavor, slightly sweet with no real bitterness or hops presence. A good session beer, but doesn’t really blow me away

Mep3222 (1596) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - MAY 4, 2016
Carmelized malt nutty aroma. Not bad at all. But the aroma is the best. Taste is a bit yeasty and dirty, still dominated by the Carmelized malt but just not clean. Light palate and a bit watery. Drinkable Amber, just not a whole lot there with the watery palate and dirty yeasty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 21, 2016
Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Mild toasted malty base, some light sweetness, lighter earthy and floral notes, and a balanced finish.
