This is a much better everyday lager than many big breweries produce. I enjoyed this at the Charleston Place hotel in Charleston. Nice golden color with a 1/2 inch head in a pilsner glass. Malts and hops in good balance. Midium body with soft carbonation. This is lager for watching football games and you will hvaing more than three beers. tennessejed420 (940) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 26, 2011
from the bottle. Gold in color with off white head. Light, somewhat bland aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet, creamed corn perhaps, with no bitterness and a light, watery feel. Finish is a bit off-putting, with a touch skunk. Overall neither unpleasing nor memorable. jason (1834) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2011

Charleston Lager’s best feature, its looks, will keep you happy for a few seconds. Not too much positive after that. Beer Snob (501) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2010
When an icy cold beer on a 90 degree day with 90% humidity is as unsatisfying as this one, then there’s a problem.
Sight grassy aroma and a weak watery micro-beer taste that made way for a metallic tang.

a clear gold/amber pour with almost no head. Malty almost sour scent. Taste is all malt some light dough taste. Almost no bitterness. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Honey-colored with no head but lots of effervescence. Medium aroma of bread with a hint of metal. Balanced with a medium mouthfeel. Yeasty with a mild metallic finish. Just OK. potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2010
Draught. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma of mild hops with flavor of grass and flowers. Lame, light bitter finish. Boring but easy on Charleston beaches. A good day beer I guess.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells skunky and sweet with some grapey hints. Tastes of hay, sweet malt, crisp, some earthy hints. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - OCT 14, 2009
Bottle from Matty. Poured a clear gold color. The head was two fingers high and white with decent retention. Smelled of light grassy hops, white bread, pale malt, and subdued yeasty bread dough. Light bodied and delicately sweet with mild bitterness at the end. The flavors were fairly predictable for this standard lager; Pale malt, grassy hop, and a touch of honey. Not unpleasant.
