My favorite lager. Clean, crisp, nice flavor. I could drink this all day. One of the best in it’s class. TheBeerLover (1027) - DC Metro Area, USA - JAN 25, 2006
Palmetto Lager is as impressive as the Pale and the Amber. This beer pours to a beautiful, straw golden color with a thick white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The palate is crisp and clean, with a very smooth and drinkable body. This beer finishes with a nice balance of malt and hop flavors.

I wasn’t sure how this would go when I picked up a scent of Heinecken-ish skunkality upon sniffing. But I ended up really liking it. It *does* have a little bit of fresh skunk to it up front, but that morphs very nicely into a nice, grainy fullness. jpknight22 (171) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 29, 2002
This lager definitely has much more flavor than most of the ones I've sampled, a little hoppier than what I'm used to in a lager. Just as the description says, the finish is clean and quite refreshing. I'll keep this stocked as long as I can find it. I'll have to check out the other creations of this company and report back on my findings. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 12, 2005
Bottle. Slightly sour malt and hops aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Barley malt, grass flavor with moderate hops - slight corn flavor as well but not . Very smooth and less grainy than many lagers. Very nice.

Pretty good, and perfect for a godawful hot week in Columbia in July. Nutty malt taste makes it a very satisfactory alternative to the macros. jsquire (4599) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2002
Straw yellow in color with a fizzy white head that hangs around the edges of the glass, leaving nice bits of lace as it goes down. Nice, sweet aroma with a clean, crisp mouthfeel. This lager has a good malt flavor and is not too sweet. there is a nice dose of hops for balance. I'm not a big lager fan, but this is a very nice beer. jgb9348 (6478) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 19, 2003
Slightly hazy golden colour with light orange and a thin off-white head. Smells of citrus (lemon, oranges & grapefruit), a small amount of hops and an even smaller amount of malt. Some fairly sweet aromas come from the beer as well. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavour with an odd nutty taste. Some slight citrus hop taste near the end as well. Aftertaste has a great balance of hops and malt with a complexity of a top-notch beer. Overall a very nice beer that one should try if available! I was lucky enough to get my twelve ounce bottle from mabdoney in Florida...Thanks again Matt! I sampled this beer on 11-September-2003. Bottle. The word "Palmetto" reminds me of "Saw palmetto". What is that? For some reason I think it's an ingredient in shampoo, but I don't use shampoo anymore. So yeah, this looks like any old lager and tastes of nutty malts which actually balances out nicely. Light citric flavor with some lemon in there. Better than I was expecting. ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - JUN 17, 2004
a pretty good lager- pours golden color. flavor reminds me of heineken, but much better. a very nice hop presence in this brew that always seems to lack in lagers. this is a damn good lager, and something ill buy again whenever i get down SC way.
