ICEatALAMO (1342) - Troy, Michigan, USA - JUN 6, 2016
Draft at brewery, nitro. The pour is dark and frothy head. The aroma is rich bold coffee. The taste also has a lot of coffee to it, very nice. Probably one of the better coffee porters out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours opaque coffee brown with a thick tan head. Aroma presents a strong quality coffee note supported by roast malt and toffee tones and a hint of molasses. Flavor delivers roast coffee, roasted malt, toffee and molasses notes, very pleasing. Mouthfeel features firm body and decent fizz. Get on the espresso train!

Poured from bottle a dark brown with thin white head that receded to sides of glass. Minimal lace. Aroma was more roasted malt than coffee, but dark roast coffee noted. In the taste the coffee had a bigger role but it is a good balance of coffee to malt. The coffee does linger into the finish and aftertaste is black coffee. Enjoyed.

Nice coffee roasted malt aroma with slight sweet malt. Taste starts slight sweet malty with a nice coffee finish. Coffee bitter balances the slight malt sweetness. Full bodied but not heavy. Quite a nice Porter overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle - $1.69 at Total Wine & More in Greensville, South Carolina. Appearance: Pours a very dark but clear brown body capped with a tan-hued head. Smell: Restrained coffee-hinting roastiness with a lil darkened grain and a lil dark chocolate. Taste: A gentle malty roastiness with a taste of sweetened coffee and chocolate for a slight mocha kick. Small hint of dark fruitiness. Minimal hop character and balancing bitterness. Semi-dry finish, still hinting of roasty coffee. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Not bad, just a fine, simple porter.

(Bottle). Aroma of burnt coffee with minimal head. The flavor is over-roasted espresso dominating the Porter. Decent palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home. Black in color with a khaki head. Theres a nice bit of roasty coffee and plenty of dark chocolate. A touch of nuts and some pepper. Good sweetness of hazelnut and a touch of toffee. Decent amount of coffee, though not as much as is present on the aroma. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side but otherwise not too shabby.
