From bottle. Nice coffee aroma with chocolate, molasses, and some carbonic gaseousness. Light oxidation notes. Dark brown-black clear with thin creamy tan lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts moderately sweet with chocolate, coffee, and molasses. Medium hop bitter finish with bitter nutty after and light lingering sweetness.

Happy hour... Bottle. Just terrific aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Taste is the same, nice bitter coffee paired with dark roasted grain. Chocalate bitterness lingers, but similar to previous reviews, body ultimately is a bit thin. A richer body would have made this almost perfect.

First beer I had in Charleston. Deliciously balanced chocolate and coffee character. Rich, rather than sweet.

Nearly black with a small, dark tan head.
Aroma is dark roast, cocoa, espresso....
Flavour is a nice coffee/chocolate blend.
A slightly ashy, overcooked bitter.
Good carbonation, a bit light, but rather nice.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of queenholly. Dark brown pour/ bordering on black in color. Nose is espresso beans and roasted barley. The mouthfeel is on the flat side but that doesn’t matter since the flavor is nice. Strong espresso effect with light traces of chocolate, caramel, and some coffee bitterness in the finish. On the lighter side of medium in body. Bet this rocks on draft, any coffee brew lover should try this.

12 ounce while dining at Husk. Espresso/coffee. Roast. Chocolate. Not a very thick or heavy body, but bitterness shines. Decent.
