Part of local flight at Charleston tap house. Pleasantly suprised for Palmetto. Strikes the right porter notes. Bit heavy handed with the coffee (but it is, espresso porter, after all) and somewhat thin mouthfeel (but it is Charleston, after all) but otherwise no complaints. Drinkable if not especially memorable. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - JAN 14, 2015
Bottle at Porch Nite thanks to Brisben. Pours dark brown to black with a thin tan head. Aroma is dark roasted coffee and some roast. Not much maltiness. Flavor follows with lots of coffee. Nice beer. eRock_2013 (507) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 27, 2015
Another straitforward, unsophisticated, but successful brew from Palmetto. Pours a ruby brown, classic porter appearance. A pleasant light-bodied porter, heavy on the roasted coffee on the nose and on the palate. Aroma is mostly espresso with some sweet caramel malt. Taste is coffee with caramel creamer, not much complexity. A nice sweet espresso finish. No hoppiness worthy of note. Light, refreshing, yet flavorful. Bottle. This is intensely coffee flavored and really deeply roasted. Do not drink if you want to fall asleep. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 16, 2010
Red-brown, light tan foam. Grainy coffee ground aroma, roast. Taste is more roasty, espresso, cold grounds, light chocolate.

Brown pour with tan head and lace. Espresso and roasted malt aroma. Coffee, light sour malt with a good malt bitter. A tad thin and watery. jtclockwork (17254) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 17, 2011
Bottle. Pours black. Light beige head. Nose/taste of fresh coffee beans, espresso, cocoa and vanilla. Body is a little on the thin side. Finishes with fresh coffee beans and burnt black malt. burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - FEB 8, 2013
12 ounce bottle pours a cocacola brown color with esspresso, roast, light chocolate and sweet malt. Flavors are mostly light esspresso with some sweet malt thrown in. Thin on the palate for my liking of a porter but a nice beer overall. Chudwick (3360) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - JUN 19, 2013
12oz bottle - pours brown with khaki with good lacing. Nose is coffee and milk chocolate. Flavor adds roast, cereal and herbal hops. Mildly sweet with coffee roast bitterness. Somewhat flat. Patrickctenchi (6730) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUL 29, 2013
Nearly black with a small, dark tan head.
Aroma is dark roast, cocoa, espresso....
Flavour is a nice coffee/chocolate blend.
A slightly ashy, overcooked bitter.
Good carbonation, a bit light, but rather nice.
