COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What started as an experiment with Palmetto’s year-round Amber Ale has turned into a fan favorite! Ginger Slap puts a spin on amber ale through ginger and cardamom additions, imparting a little zest to a balanced, malt-forward, super quaffable beer.

It’s not a slap, so much as a love tap.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2018 Tap, ADT. Clear golden amber with a thin off white head. Bready malt followed by caramel, butterscotch, light touch of hops. Ginger shows up, strengthens, then tapers toward the finish. Light bodied, low carbonation. Pleasant and very drinkable.

Spicy malty aroma, notice the ginger. Taste is light Carmelized malt with a slight watery palate and carbonation that dies fast, finishes with some nice ginger spice, but it is subtle as the malt takes over a bit. Some dirtiness to the finish. Overall drinkable Amber, and the ginger adds some interesting character to what would otherwise be a simple base beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark gold almost red pour no head minimal lace. Subtle ginger nose. A little over carbonated but the ginger flavors are just right not to much not to little. This beer would be great to drink poolside on a hot day!

On tap at the brewery, pours a clear, caramel brown, with hardly any head. Looks like rootbeer. Smells like... ginger, some sugar too, not much beer happening. Tastes like ginger ale with a splash of cream soda. Watery finish. Miss.

On tap, poured into a half pint. A cardamom aroma is prevalent at first with a light ginger and caramel undertone. Late, ginger comes through more. It’s clear and oily looking with a caramel hue. There’s a slightly off white, dense soap head that retains a decent ring and messy lace. The taste is medium sweet medium bitter. It’s oily and slick with a fizzy carbonationn and a medium malty body. It tastes like gingerbread with a finish that’s spicy, fresh, and clean. The aftertaste is light with hints of sugar and spice and a light cloying quality.
