Bottle at the bar on Shem Creek. Better than the amber, but not much. Good thing the scene was really good. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2016
Poured into a snifter.
3.0 A: Well hazed medium orange color. Didn’t get much of a head to form.
2.75 S: Hops are primarily citrusy orange and piney. Secondarily earthy and grassy. Neutral malt backbone with caramel sweetness. Simple and unfortunately underwhelming.
2.75 T: Mild bitterness. Again orangy and piney hop flavors. Malts aren’t quite clean as I’m picking up hints of vegetal flavor. Otherwise a touch biscuit with caramel flavor.
3.25 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess, but otherwise okay.
2.5 D: Don’t really care for this much. It’s boring at it’s baseline and has a problem with vegetal flavor.

A golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, treacle notes, classic. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, a bit light but nice. Bottle at Nacho Hippo, MYR. Maverick34 (3283) - New York, USA - OCT 28, 2015
Copper pour from bottle in Charleston. A bit of hoppy citrus but otherwise unremarkable TomTron (455) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 21, 2015
Pours hazy copper with a thin, white head. Grassy aromas but not strong. Typical pale ale taste, and drinkable. Not a bad offering, but also nothing too memorable.

Draft at Palmetto, May 2015. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
A rather caustic, raw grapefruit-resin bomb. solidfunk (9221) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUL 13, 2015
Pours hazy golden with ok head and lacing. Some citrus, but mostly just bittering hops. Some light bitterness. Some sour mash. Bottle. rolfc81 (145) - - JUN 17, 2015

12 oz bottle purchased in Edisto Beach, SC. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head and little lacing. Citrus aroma with bitter and hoppy taste. Nice balance. Average APA. eRock_2013 (490) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 7, 2015
Hmm not a bad American pale ale but I didn't enjoy this as much as Palmetto's other offerings I've sampled. From a fresh bottle, pours a slightly hazy orange copper appearance, good frothy head. Malt and mango citrus hops on the nose. Taste is some malt but primarily subdued earthy yet fruity pacific hoppy notes- grapefruit stickiness in the finish. Hoppiness is pleasantly solid, pairs well with meat and potatoes. Could have a better body to it, the palate struck me as unpleasantly thin and slick. Flavor intensity could be stronger too, malty contrast is weak. Just a decent craft beer.
