UPDATED: APR 12, 2012 Pale ale is too strong for my taste. Plenty of hops and bitterness to go along with it. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - APR 26, 2008
Light copper pour with and touch of orange and a small white head. Lots of citrus aroma with sweet bready malts and some various other sweet fruit. Flavor is that of a typical west coast IPA, lots of grapefruit and caramel malt to balance. The malt has a earthy bread quality to it. There also a surprising number of fruit notes to the flavor too. Apple, peach and pear notes stand out. Body is medium with a slight aqueous finish. woodychevy (874) - - FEB 3, 2011
Color is reminiscent of a good ipa. Head diminishes quickly hops almost too pronounced for a pale ale. Would have given it a better rating as an ipa. It’s all in the name.... Sitting here in chas though so when in Rome...just a good beer- not great, not bad Aggie80 (829) - Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2013
Good head and lacing. I wasn’t thrilled by the above average hop flavors burying the malts. Solid beer, but not something I’m overly thrilled with. Uglyradio (790) - Greenville, South Carolina, USA - NOV 30, 2002
Pours a clear copper color with a rocky white head. It has a nice fruity hop aroma that is typical of IPA's and APA's. Medium bodied with good malty chewiness up front and finishes with a slight hop twang. A very nice American style pale ale.

Good beer. Golden hue, decent head on pour out of bottle. Balanced dry hopping. Not explosive hops--a rarity with American pale ales these days. aumentm (750) - North Carolina, USA - MAY 2, 2015
This is an average beer that is light in appearance and decent in overall palate. Nice balance. ericnixon (745) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 5, 2005
Nice copper color and a nice malty aroma. Clean, malty taste with a quick burst of malty in the aftertaste with a mild lingering bitter aftertaste. wcampbell (721) - Clemson, South Carolina, USA - DEC 30, 2007
I liked this a lot. Lightly bitter taste and finish. Well balanced with some caramel malt. Some spices and citrus in the taste as well. Nice complexity. brownaler (707) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - MAR 9, 2004
A preety nice representation of a pale ale from Palmetto. Has the standard hoppiness with a nice finish as well.
