Bottle: very very dark reddish brown in the light, but black when I just look at it. It’s aromas are that of a malty chocolate, lots of sweetness coming through, and licorice. It has a nice tan head that sticks around. It’s not as roasty or chocolaty as I expected by it’s aroma and appearance. It’s just a nicely balanced sweetish stout, I actually really like it. It has a nice lively, carbonation that rounds it out as a great, drinkable, tasty beer. cbfobes (2891) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JUN 6, 2011
12oz bottle, pours a very dark brown with a slight reddish hue in the light with a nice off white head with lacing, aroma has nice touches of malt with a touch of chocolate, the flavor has a nice front end of burnt malt with a finish of chocolate and a hint of coffee, I’m actually very surprised by this one and very happy with it. portableparty (2382) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAY 26, 2011
Bottle to snifter. Pour is clear dark brown which appears black once in glass and leaves a soapy kahki head that dissipates to a collar. Aroma is bitter burnt malt and has some faint coffee notes as well. Taste is pretty nice starts bitter burnt roasted malt that leads into a little bit of chocolate and coffee. Palate is thin and gritty with a bitter dry finish. Not bad stout. I enjoyed this one a lot more than there IPA. Rciesla (5607) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAY 10, 2011
A new stout at my shop rite, what a plesant surprise! This is infinitely better (and better then infinium) then the Poland spring coupon that will print out when i pick up the next case of water. /Rant.
Bottle. Pours a dark bruin body with a tan head. Malty up front. Nice chocolate malt tones, hints of drier malt characters, roasted coffee and some light oats. Soft body light bitter roast with a light malty sweetness. Pretty dull overall sure it has some flavor but nothing really showcased. Still to me, it gets good marks as an easy drinking stout. bseribeer (128) - Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2011
Pangaea’s gotta new fan. Aroma strong dark chocolate with a hint of coffee. Pours black with a light tan head. Taste is robust with chocolate with hints of espresso. Very roasty. Creamy on the palate with a fizz on the tongue. Enjoyable and would definitely buy again.

Almost perfect. This is my new favorite and I can’t find any more. This beer is so complex but done right. Not too syrupy like a popular Irish brand. It has the proper amount of viscosity. Also not too heavy. Very, very good. A++ kjohns (131) - North Dakota, USA - MAR 30, 2011
Pours black with a large frothy tan head. Malty aroma mixed with chocolate and coffee. Chocolate and coffee come through as well in the taste along with some sweeter caramel notes and a nice coffee aftertaste. Medium body and not heavily carbonated. A pretty decent stout overall. The aroma smells like coffee beans and malt. Very smooth stout, flavor. A bit dry but not too bad. mallons72 (208) - livonia, Michigan, USA - MAR 26, 2011
This was a very, very good beer. 12 oz tulip glass - Hopcat in Grand Rapids. Smooth stout, alcohol present - coffee/caramel - the norm, but well done. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 20, 2011
12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a lingering, lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and some light floral hops. The roasted malts are strong, followed by a light coffee aftertaste. Smooth texture. A pretty good stout.
