COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quickchange XPA is all about putting a big hop engine on a stripped down malt chassis. The delicate colour in the glass barely seems enough to support all those Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra alpha oils with their mango, guava, pineapple and lychee characters, but one sip should clear that misapprehension up.

Yields a golden color with a froth, white head. Has aromas of blueberries, watermelon, dried oranges, wet grass and a note of lime pulp. Toffee malts add a flowery sweetness to the prominent hops, creating a hoppy, sweet nose. Has a supersoft, light mouthfeel, with a fitting carbonation among hop entangled toffee malts. Tastes of lime zest, sweet blueberries and crackery malts. Has an aqueous mid palate with sweeter turning toffee malts and a late orange and lime defined hop dryness. Very nice, refreshing and light. Relying more heavily on the malts than expected with an effective dry coating in the finish.

4.6%ABV. Pale ale. Poured out gold. 6SRM. Nose is lycheee and mango. Fresh citrus with bright grapefruit juice. Some nice fresh grassy aromas. Mouthfeel is juicy and light. Palate of light pale malt. Water biscuits and breadsticks. Juicy and mineral center of the palate. Hops are light citrus peel and fresh grassy finish. Dig a little deeper and there are some nice spicy flavors of cilantro with the pleasant tang of citrus oil. Goes on Favorites List!

330 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Clear light straw golden colour; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with active carbonation; Fragrant aroma of Ale malt, with strong passion fruits, strong lemon peels, strong floral, honey, grapefruits, light tangerines, earth and strong fresh grass; Mid to light sweet taste of Ale malt, with light grapefruits, floral, fair molasses, spices, dry biscuits, strong lemon, mid to strong bitter hops and strong grass; Medium body. Very slick palate; Mouth Feel is fair Ale maltyness in a quite thick, slightly soapy background. Moderate grapefruit and citrus set the tone, flowery with moderate sweetness. Biscuity and spicy with strong lemon to round. Fairly good... Hoppiness is strong passion fruits, strong lemon peels, strong floral, grapefruits, light tangerines, earth and fresh grass in nose. Grapefruits, floral, spices, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is close to strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent bitter floral finish; Fairly dry after taste. Citrusy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This ones focus is on fairly good tropical and citrus aroma. While the grapefruit and spice taste is quite solid, its body is lightweight and a bit soapy. Quite good APA-wise, but not outstanding.
