(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Pours an almost unclean orangey brown with a creamy, beige head. Tart nose with distinct oaky touches. Medium body, fantastic complexity between acidity, oak and yet still an underlying, caramelish sweetness. Sour to the extent that it challenges and teases my taste buds but never kills them. A true pleasure. 170406 Beerhunter111 (23978) - Beerland, GERMANY - JUL 13, 2014

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2010 Bottle, at Jimmy’s no. 43 during the Lovullo Sour Tasting Session. Pours a dark, red-brown with a slight, white film. Tart, sour aroma with mild fruit and wood. Flavor is extremely puckering and very sour. Plenty of Brett and lactic acids. Mild sweetness. Some booze, especially in the finish. Light woodiness throughout. Some licorice notes. Pretty nice. Bottle split at Mother Arch during the 2014 Zwanze Celebrations, big thanks to Scopester, Batch 11 2009 #1548, 20/09/14.
Murky chestnut brown with moderate off white spotting and edgework.
Nose is nutty, musty wood, mellow dark fruit rinds, oaky tang, vanilla, spice.
Taste comprises mellow fruits, light acidic tunes, light funk, booze soaked oak, nutty twang.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a subtle acidic wash.
Ok mellow sour, not a huge amount of complexity but easy drinking. fiulijn (21558) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 4, 2005

Dark brown color; creamy head. The aroma is intensively vinous and fruity; sour grapes; oak; fresh actually. Good body structure; positively there is still some sweetness; an average caramel flavor, with evident sour and fruity presence; quite rare for Sour beers, the mouthfeel is rather smooth; the sourness in the end is limited, and clearly all bitterness is absent.
It’s very fresh, but apparently less complex than I remembered.
Cloudy dark amber color; big head. Incredible aroma: woody, a bit sour, vinous, malty, olives; really complex.
Good body structure, quite dry at the end, quite sour but still with some sweetness, and with the necessary astringency… Very complex and wonderful!
Thanks Andrea (Profane) for this incredible beer!
750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt vinegar, some soured fruits, and some red berries. Flavour of moderately soured dark fruits, quite a high vinegary quality, some red berries, and wood. Too vinegary for me, but quite complex and not too sour. Overrated, but decent stuff. saxo (20060) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle @ Gallafest tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are lactose acid, fruits, berries, little caramel, malt and hops. Vinous and mild. harrisoni (19859) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2008
Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest 08. Harry gave us the chance to do a side by side tasting with the European sour. Woody sour nose. Nice sourness in mouth, really rather good and nice than the Euro mild. Not hugely sour, more tartness really. Pippy raspberry is rather attractive. Nice.
