   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 15/20

Hazy copper with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma witrh caramel and dried fruit. Rich caramel and dark toffee flavour with a hoppy touch in the finish

kraddel (9170) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUN 30, 2016
Bottle. Pours clear darkbrown. Big white head collapses within seconds. Smell is very aromatic, sweet, malts, very yeasty, thin. Taste is sharp, dry, aromatic dark malts ( doesn’t taste as nice as it sounds ) thin, wattery ( the chance is very big to me that this is high gravity brewing ) yeasty as well. Very blank, and boring.

The picture does justice to the Belgian seaside which is far from a crystal blue ocean. Aroma is a bit weak. Average Belgian brown ale.

Nicolas_M (209) - BELGIUM - FEB 15, 2016
I would describe it as a brown beer with corn. Alcohol is also present, again not as strongly as you could expect from a 9% beer. It goes directly to the head, but you don’t taste it ! Aroma isn’t really strong.

Bottle 330 ml from trade with Mathieu87, thanks! Into a tulip glass, ABV 9%
Brown colour on the side, towards the lighter side, with a tall off-white head, thick, with average retention, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Aroma of milky chocolate, some dark fruits, seems sweet.
Tastes sweet too, malty, chocolate, raisins, molasses, liquorice, the alcohol very well hidden. Light bitterness on the aftertaste with short duration.
Medium thin body, carbonation is a bit high but without being annoying.
Overall smooth belgian strong ale, maybe too sweet at first but the light bitterness on the finish helps to balance it a little bit and makes it pleasantly drinkable.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2013 Brune acajou, pétillance moyenne, col beige foncé persistant. Malts caramel assez bien torréfiés, fruits secs et foncés, notes de chocolat, ABV bien masqué. Une bien bonne double!

PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 20, 2013
33cl bottle at home. Shared with Mathieu87.
APPEARANCE: clear brown beer, small rather unstable beige head.
NOSE: burned malts, coffee, some caramel.
TASTE: sweet, too sweet even, burned malts.
Decent beer!

Bottle @ Delirium, Brussels.

Pours clear amber with a fine, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has chocolate, soft notes of cellar, light milky, caramel and sugar. Medium carbonation, fine creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, malty, light esters, chocolate, milky, light vinious, light raisin. Nice dubbel.

Thank you Tim @ 1st Official Ledebronckx Barrel Aged Academie Grand Elite Tasting.
Pours hazy reddish/brown with a small light brown head. Nose is fruit, brown sugar. Taste is dried fruit, caramel, finishes with a dry fruitiness. Medium body with a sparkly carbonation. A tasty brew for sure.
