Draught at Papago Brewing Co., Scottsdale, AZbu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 17, 2009
Copper color. The aroma shows some fruit from the hops. It has a good toffee flavor, with just a bit of sugars, and a quite strong hopping, partially resiny; there are sweet oranges too in the final, and still some sweetness. Sweet American Pale Ale, very pleasant.
(Draught) Pours a clear golden amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of herbs, soap, caramel, toffee, and nuts. Flavor of roasted malt, subtle cocoa, caramel, and light grain. Skyview (6055) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - DEC 11, 2007
Sampled on draught at the Papago Brewing Company tavern in Phoenix, AZ. Pours a clear reddish amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin ring and film top. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some roasted nuts, toffee and a touch of apricots. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of fruity caramel malt and a touch of citrus hops. Finish is semi-sweet, roasted caramel malt and a touch of dried dark fruit. nickd717 (4691) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 18, 2009
GABF 2009. Pours reddish-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, fruit, bread, and mild citrusy hops. Flavor is similar, lots of caramel malt, bread, citrus hops, and berries. Medium body and somewhat standard palate. Good for the style. FlacoAlto (4182) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Poured from the tap with an initial head that is just over a finger thick. The head lingers for a bit and is a creamy pale tan color. The beer is a lightly hazy, reddish amber color. The aroma is dominated by malt notes, though all in all fairly light; I get notes of biscuit malt, some caramel/ toffee notes and a berry like fruitiness.

The taste is lightly sweet up front with a focused fruit note that reminds me of strawberries and a bit of something like a sweet plum. The beer is quite quaffable, it just slides down the throat and is almost too drinkable. It has a nice bitterness in the finish that does not quite balance the malt and fruit notes, but still is noticeable. As the beer warms up a bit it begins to pick up some notes of biscuit and toasted grain. In the end this is just so quaffable; the malt really start to shine after it warms up a bit; a mix of fruit and grain that is balanced by a true "kiss of hops".

tap @ papago. yeah, day drinkin...clear and rust colored. flour tortilla/baking powder/biscuit dough along with sweet malts in the aroma. flavor is mostly sweet malts and fresh berries with a hint of biscuit. nice little bitter hoppy touch to finish... Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - OCT 30, 2007
The beer pours from the tap a somewhat fuzzy reddish amber with a decent two finger creamy white head that settles slowly, the lace a concealing sheet upon the glass. Nose has a rich sweet malt aroma, hints of fruit; I would say strawberries, with a bit of apricots, quite fresh and clean. Start is sweet malt with a touch of hops at the back, top is medium in feel. Finish has a sturdy acidity, the hops spicy in their bite, sweet to the end with a dry lingering aftertaste, quite nice beer, easy on the palate. Bockyhorsey (2628) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUN 6, 2006

Has a medium malt and fruit presence. Darker red body with tan head. Mainly malt flavor backbone with some fruity plum dectectable. Smooth and refreshing brew went down the hatch rather quickly.
tap at Papago. Pours a cranberry juice read with a half finger tan head. The nose is sweet malt, bread and light fruit. The taste is caramel malt, biscuits, fruit with a saccharin/sweet and low type aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. Kinda boring. SuperDave (1932) - Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA - AUG 30, 2008
On tap at Papago. Clear, deep amber pour with a medium foamy head that fades slowly and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of nutty, sweet malt and fruits, with a touch of citrus hops in the background. Flavor is pretty much the same, lots of caramel malt and fruit up front, just a touch of citrus hops on the finish. Nothing wrong with the brew at all, just not really my thing.
