UPDATED: JUL 4, 2012 26/VI/2012 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: X/14 (2012-659) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!

Note: had this beer many times before, and always assumed I had already rated it. Silly me! :p Little cloudy blond beer, huge white creamy head, stable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: pretty floral, herbal, bit grassy, yeast touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: ripe summer fruits, bit sweet, candi sugar, bitter hops, citrus. Aftertaste: grassy hops, herbal, bit spicy, some oranges, sugary.

Tasted Blind at a tasting party in Gent

A - Half finger white head. SRM of 4. Light gold

S - wheat and grass. Corn and figs. Very light dry smell.

T - Once again. Too sweet. Very dry champagne taste. Wheat and pears. Apples? Getting slight hint of egg white

M - 100% carbonation. Medium body. Lingering saison and wheat

O - 90/100. Tastes like a borderline cheap beer but its tasty and drinkable. Pretty okay smell and decent taste.

Kopte lekker binnen.

Brown 33cl bottle, best before June 2012, poured into an Augustijn badged chalice in June 2011. The second beer of an odd-ball beer tasting evening. The beer is a dull golden colour, slight haze showing. Thin white covering for a head. Very little in the way of smells, semi-sweet summer garden hints, but no real aroma to talk about. This is a sweet fruity beer, with a yeasty front that struggles to hide the 8.0%ABV alcohol content this beer packs. The overall feeling is fine, in fact very pleasant, the alcohol sits well within the strength and depth of the brew. Im a fan of the sweeter beers and this is my sort of brew: the beer is well balanced, a little too sweet for some maybe, but in my opinion this is good stuff.

Bottle 33cl, a clear yellow beer with good head and retention. Nose is lemony and astringent like. Aroma is sweet with flower notes and lemon touch, alcohol is well hidden, metallic and violette notes, very interesting. But too much yeast aroma, yes lot of phnol there, nice sweet fruity finish.

330ml, room temperature at The Penguin. Coarsely alcoholic, cherry-accented aroma. Pours golden, sieved with mist beneath a patchy white head thinning to nowt. Overly fizzy, slightly meaty, marzipan taste not endearing itself beside the relative perfection of St Feuillien Grand Cru. Some light buttered pine trying to break out; toasted wheat, disjointed, synthetic kriek cherriness (booze). No thankyou.

Pours a deep golden amber with a pillowy, slightly off white creamy head. The nose is light, some sweet candied sugars with a decent yeast presence, light spice with notes of lemon, vanilla, and honey. The taste is bigger and sweeter than the nose. Loads of candied sugar with sweet caramel malts. The yeast and peppery spice is dulled down and the feel is very muddled and sugary. The body is syrupy and oily, the finish is thin and has a light soapiness in it.

Clear golden coloured beer with small white head and medium carbonation. Hoppy spicy aroma. Full creamy slight sparkling palate. Finish is spicy slight bitter ending dry. Easy drinkable for the high alcohol %. Misses some character.
