Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and coffee. The flavor is sweet is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate, leading to a bitter coffeeish finish. Pinball (12310) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 18, 2011

roasted malts, coffee, sweet sugary note. nice.
flavor is coffee, roasted malts, slightly flowery. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 18, 2011
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of gn0sis. Pours pitch black with a light brown creamy head. Sweet coffee aroma, not overly roasted - kinda smooth. Medium body, some hard roast and vanilla while the coffee flavours are toned down a bit. There’s a little malt tartness and astringency. But overall a pleasant and balanced coffee Porter. 180311 canary dog (780) - Rutland, Vermont, USA - FEB 18, 2011
I know this is more of a black lager than, say, a stout or a porter. But the promise of a full palate, rich roasted nose, and thickness of mouthfeel kind of fades away on a bland and almost watery finish. blutt59 (6579) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 17, 2011
bottle, thanks to exiled, dark brown color with chocolate and coffee aroma, flavor is strong espresso, chocolate malted milk, some ash and smoke

Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle. This is my first beer from Paper City Brewing and I am excited to try it.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a thick tan head. The aroma is very heavy on the coffee with a little bit of roasted malt mixed in. One of the strongest coffee aromas I have had in a beer. The flavor is more of the same, but there are a few differences. While the coffee is still the predominant flavor, I get a lot of chocolate mixed in which really compliments the coffee well. I also get some roasted malt as well as some cream notes which also go very well with the other flavors. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very good coffee beer. Glad I got to try it.

thanks to gn0sis for this goodie! dark brown pour, medium dark brown head. a tasty and well done beer, very smooth, not too much coffee by any standard, soid base beer, nice all the way through. not outrageous in any way, but a very solid brew, and very drinkable seeming more like 5% than 8.5%.
