Oh yeah, this beer, how could I forget.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice dark brown color with a nice one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. Lacing, it was somewhat there.
The smell had a nice nutty/caramel roastiness over coating a light chocolate maltiness.
The taste was subtly sweet but with a sublime roasty nuttiness trying to invade a delicate bitter hop note but mainly just staying right where it is.
On the palate, this one sat right at a medium in body with a tad of sessionability to it.

Pours light brown with a bubbly head. Fades slowly and leaves an even lace. Medium carbonation. Aroma has a hint of nuttiness. Flavor is a good mix of malts and hops and there is some lingering hops with a slightly bitter ending. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JAN 25, 2010
(bottle - 12 oz) Dark black pour with a very thin and quickly fading white head. Roasted malt and coffee aroma mixing with some very light vegetable notes. Very smoky. Flavor begins well; a lightly roasted and rather nutty taste, but then quickly fades to a sort of club soda taste in the middle. Some flavor comes back at the end, mainly some apple skins, peanut shells, and stale malts. Finishes clean and rather watery.

This is a pretty good example of a nut brown ale. smell off the bat was pretty nutty like raw almounds and maybe some hazelnut. There was a bit of an odd sourerness and alcohol note that was almost wine like in there but not really sure. the beer seemed to cling to the end of my tongue with the first fizziness but ended kinda watery. would wanna have maybe two of these in a sitty at most. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - AUG 6, 2008

12-oz. Many thanks, 46er3498! Tom has a tough SN to remember but he’s a great trader. Pours ultra-mahogany with a thick layer of very light tan suds that falls to a frosting of mousse. Some lace. Smells like the dear old familiar sweet dark malts. Some chocolate and nougat in there, too. Mild attack; fairly light body, Low carb. A little spritz of hop there at the end. Fairly neutral throughout. Well made beer; sturdy little brown.
