3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Near black in appearance with a thin tan head. Heavy roast in the aroma, along with subtle chocolate. Tastes dry, roasty, cocoa, and coffee throughout. Some floral bitterness joins the dry roasty tail. Lingering bits of roast and cocoa hang around. All in all this is pretty good stuff.
Bottle. Pours a near black color with a smallish light tan head that disappears pretty quickly. Nose is pretty roasty up front, with a little bit of toast underneath. Taste is very slightly bitter, with a good bit of roasted coffee, and just a hint of some yeasty bread dough. Decent porter, though nothing super special. Dark brown pour with a large tan head. The aroma has some chocolate and roasted malt notes. The flavor is more of the same with the addition of some smoked malt notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle:   Deep dark brown, moderate to large frothy beige head, nice lacing.   Soft roast, some dark/bakers
chocolate, a little lactose.   Sweet and rich on the tongue, roasty, somewhat like a milk stout at times.   Not all
that hoppy.   Seems a bit airy, or bubbley.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Not as heavy as others,
unfortunately.   Lingering roasted malts, slight charred wood, a touch dry.   Seems a pretty average yet solid
porter.   Semi-sweet roasted malts linger.   Not bad! BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - APR 28, 2013
Dark brown in color, clear with a thin tan head. Nice dark chocolate and coffee aroma and flavors. The flavor was rich with malt and light hops. I was impressed with this beer. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Black color with tan sheen. Dark roast, ash, dark chocolate aromas. Smooth medium body. Dark roast, light ash, dark chocolate flavors---almost good.

Black with red hues. Thin head. Spotty laciness. Smokey aroma that didn’t carry into the flavor. Prety dry. reebtogi (6341) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 16, 2012
650ml bomber pours almost black in color with a finger and a half of light brown head that retains well and leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas are of dark fruits and chocolate. Taste is a chocolate malty and raisin sweetness with a medium roasted bitterness which finishes clean and dry. Decent mouth feel. A nicely done porter, but not quite up there with the best. bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 15, 2012
(22oz bottle) Pours a mahogany body with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and light ash. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, light citrus, caramel, and some coffee. blutt59 (6576) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 28, 2012
bottled, brown color , no foam, plastic aroma with spritzy chocolate malt flavors Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Malt and raisins aromas. A dark opaque brown pour with a mostly diminishing tan head and no lacing. This is a malt forward porter. Tastes of dried dark fruit and hints of coffee greet the pallet. Medium body and minimal carbonation. Overall a smooth enjoyable porter.
