Dunk Your Face Project. Oak barrel-aged fruited beer. Dark beer brewed with pumpkin, pepitas (pumpkin seeds), and chimayo red chili. Aged in red wine barrels-bottle conditioned.

Cloudy amber with a tiny head. Aroma has light earthy sweetness with baked pumpkin and toffee, oak, red wine, notes of dark fruit. Taste is light sweet with toffee, vanilla, slight tart with grape skins and apples, some oak notes and light spiciness as well. Very light chili notes in the finish with a light fruity tartness and light sweetness. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.

Bottle at James’s for a tasting with Hackobock. Pours a hazed brown with a thin white head. Soft malt and a bit of sweetness on the nose. Medium bodied, soft tartness, a bit of earthiness. Soft acid on the finish, very gentle. Not a ton going on, but decent enough.
