COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A.K.A. We Jam & The Jelly<NT><NT> For our updated variation of the classic cherry sour; we’ve combined the tart bite of, Michigan grown, Montmorency "American Pie" cherries with our wine barrel-aged mixed-fermentation sour golden ale. The resulting brew is simultaneously nostalgiac and forward thinking, like an electric car with a hand-knit cover.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle poured to snifters displaying a cloudy, orangey/gold color, with some off white foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was yeasty funk, hints of barrel & wine, soft malt, and a sweetened, yet tart presentation of cherries. Medium bodied, with decent effervescence, the taste was somewhat similar, with pronounced acidity to the tartness & tanginess, and light tannins & dryness to the finish. Worked for me.

Nice cherry flavour, not too edgy but prominent. Tart finish, very drinkable wild ale. A touch of apple vinegar. Nicely done.

Bottle at the 20th Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is a phenolic bandage and light smoke, cracker malt and cherries with white wine notes. Flavor is lactic white wine, oak, cherries, phenolic bandages, cracker malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

500 mL bottle shared by Gus and I with ebone1988. The pour is a chunky dark ruby color with a thin cap if light tan head and w few sticky spots of lace. The aroma is tart. There is a lacto induced sourness to it with the cherry that I’m digging. It’s got a nice wine barrel to it. Pretty basic. The flavor is a little better. There is a nice tart cherry, but it finishes a little sweeter than I’d want. It’s got a decent wine character. The mouth feel is a little heavy and carries a nice tart cherry. The carbonation is decent. The aftertaste is sweet cherry for sure.

Bottle shared with koleminer20 and Gus. Aroma is tart, funky, cherries, barrel, wine, I like this. Appearance is murky red orange, off white head, super hazy. Taste is tart, cherry, barrel, wine, funky, but not as good as expected. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, lots of candied cherries and wine barrel in the aftertaste. Overall, this is quite tasty.
