Amber, medium head. Aroma is just all kinds of big chewy malts, alcohol, bubblegum...they wasted mosaic in this? Fuck. Yeah, all chewy and boozy...where’s that hop? GraffitiVandal (150) - Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 10, 2015
ENG: 650ml bottle from Liquor Depot on Whyte, Edmonton. Color is orange-copper with haze (a lot of dregs in the bottle), with nice thick tan head and great lacing. Aromas of citrus and pine and maybe some caramel in background. Taste is hoppy but refreshing, citrusy, herbal, piney. Also in taste you can feel the sweetness, but it’s very pleasant, hidden somewhere in the background. Aftertaste is a bit bitter, very pleasant. Saturation is quite large, but not too big. What is surprising most is the fact that this 8.5% alc beer is so drinkable, the alcohol is not perceptible. Very good tasting single hop. One of the best from Parallel 49 in my opinion. ///~~~///~~~/// ///~~~///~~~/// ///~~~///~~~/// ///~~~///~~~/// ///~~~///~~~/// PL: Butelka 650ml kupiona w Liquor Depot w Edmonton.
Pours a hazy orangey copper with a medium sized dirty white head and tons of lace. Aroma is tropical fruits, citrus, pine and some sweet caramel malts. Flavour is sweet caramel, citrus, grapefruit, resin, pine, medium perceived bitterness that lingers a little mildly dry and faint alcohol in the finish. Bomber. Clear brownish orange, mostly lasting off-white foam. Fruity Mosaic hop aroma. Prominent caramel/toffee toasted malt, tropical fruity hop taste, barely bitter, lean for an Impy. Softer than average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. Nice enough. NFL (Not For Lagerboys) pintbypint (3767) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 5, 2014
650ml brown bottle. Depot gold, haze. A soapy white head on top. Nose has sweet caramel malts, citrus and some pine. Taste has caramel sweetness, juicy citrus, fruity, piney. Bittering is a bit light, aftertaste has light malts and some citrus. Thankfully the alcohol stays in check. Ok, but soft.

A good attempt at a DIPA that just falls short. Hopnotist has a shimmering golden yellow body with a soapy off white head that spills over the glass’s rim. The nose is heavily pine accented with big citrus notes and a toasty cereal malt. A bit sweet in the middle with bland malt notes and mild citrus. The finish is bitter and citrus flavoured with a bit of lingering astringency. Overall a good brew but not a great DIPA. Boutip (6483) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 6, 2014
Bottle: Poured an orange amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops with some sweet undertones is enticing enough. Taste is dominated by citrus hops with a sweet malt backbone and some light tropical fruits notes are also noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. A bit short on hops complexity but still very drinkable. Maybe a tad too sweet for my taste as well. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 22, 2014
Bottle. Golden amber pour with loads of frothy white head, lot of lacing. Aroma is melon, citrus, honey and a bit of pine. Taste is light bitterness up front, a bit of melon, malty sweetness, some citrus with a crisp juicy finish. Solid DIPA, it’s single hopped (I think) which helps explain the assault that isn’t on your palate, I like it though. Bottle. Orange amber with a lasting golden head. Malty profile (which I don’t mind), but the hop character does not appeal to me at all, kind of intense cucumber or melon rind or something, with faint plastic undertones. Couldn’t finish it. Odd. Amazing pour. Perfect color, 2 fingers of gorgeous foam head with a ton of sticky lacing. Aroma of mangos and grapefruits. Flavour of hops, cereal grains and malts, and a huge tropical blast with minimal hop burn. IPA of the month!
