I was recommended this beer by a friend of mine! I would say it was very good! I poured it in my stein and it came out as a dark black with a light brown foam head! It has a good smell of spices and dark chocolate. as well which makes it a great Fall/Halloween beer. I do wish the Pumpkin flavour was a little more present then the spices and chocolate in the flavour though! All in all, Ill say this was a very good beer and a fun one to drink while handing candy out to kids on Halloween :) jercraigs (10921) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2013
Black body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma is mild with a sweet malt base, very light roast character. Flavour is interesting, mild dark malt core. Light bitterness in the finish, interesting fruity character that is sort of pumpkiny. Chocolate touches? Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Nice, mild overal. Not as good as I was expecting. Pours a thin dark brown/black. Very little head. Aromas of fall spice roasted malt and some dark chocolate. Flavors are milk chocolate, sour, some cinnamon.. And maybe a touch of pumpkin. Nothing to get excited about. solidfunk (9440) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Well balanced. Robust constant flavor good in begging. Punkin is suitably light here. Pour black without much head or lacing. Finishes lightly bitter with some sourness. Thick texture. Light chocolate. Tap at volos. DuffMan (10728) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 14, 2013
Bottle, the sixth in our little Fest of Fall Beers. Very dark brown body with a 1cm thick beige head. Aroma is mostly roast and chocolate, maybe some vanilla too. The flavour is dominated by roast and chocolate, but given time, pumpkin can be found in here. Body is definitely on the thin side, with an acidity in the finish that didn’t help. Not bad, but not great either.

Burnt malt and coffee and some earthiness, but I wouldn't necessarily call it pumpkin. There's also a slight alcohol aroma too. Not surprisingly, an opaque black with a thin ring tan head. You do get the pumpkin taste though, kind of like roasted pumpkin as it's a bit sweet as well. It ends with a coffee like bitterness. It's kind of thin for a porter and almost no effervescence. I haven't had too many pumpkin porters to compare this to, but I can easily imagine a better one. Below average to average. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 12, 2013
Pours really dark brown with hardly any light coming through and a small tan ring around the glass. Aroma is spice(nutmeg, cinnamon, maybe ginger), chocolate, earthy toffee and roasted malts. Flavour is sweet caramel, spices(same as aroma), chocolate, and a mild bitterness. Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 12, 2013
Pours a clear dark brown with little head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa, spices(nutmeg, cinnamon) and pumpkin. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts and a light mix of pumpkin and spices on the finish. Nice pumpkin porter that isn’t too overpowering or artificial in flavor. pintbypint (3877) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 2, 2013
650ml brown bottle. Deep brown pour, some nice creamy beige foam on top. Nose has some earth, choclate and roast and spicy ginger, clove and chocolate. Taste has chocolate malts, bit of earth and roast, mild pumpkin flesh, some mixed spice and ginger notes. Finishes with some chocolate and caramel sweetness and some ginger notes. A bit thin in the mouthfeel. Overall, enjoyable and a nice dark variation on the typical fall pumpkin beer. Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - OCT 2, 2013
69. Dark brown. Pretty clear. Very small to no head. Smoke roasted malty flavours. Coffee. Dry clean taste. Some complexity.
