650 ml. Pours opaque mahogany with a lasting ring and island of foam. Nose is char and smoke, pumpkin pie spice and touches of vanilla and cocoa. Tastes of charred peppery chocolate, earthy green herb, caramel, salty driftwood, some mild earthy pumpkin spice, and wafts of red wine and soy. No pumpkin to speak of, which is disappointing but this is still tasty. Medium-heavy body has a nice balance and a medium-high carbonation that stays mostly smooth. Good balance with the spices well-checked by the other flavors. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2014
Pours thick unclear black with almost no head. Aroma brings straight baked pumpkin pie crust and some light sweet pumpkin notes. Flavor brings creamy pumpkin spice with a lighter body. stantheman (1079) - British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2014 On tap at The Alibi Room in Gastown. Almost black in color, with a bit of tan head. A rather fruity porter, with a trace of chocolate detected. Quite nice.

And Oct 26, 2014 from bomber bought at BC Liquor store in North Burnaby. Still very good. Very smooth, chocolate and nicely roasted malt flavours predominate. 3.6.
Black body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma is mild with a sweet malt base, very light roast character. Flavour is interesting, mild dark malt core. Light bitterness in the finish, interesting fruity character that is sort of pumpkiny. Chocolate touches? Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Nice, mild overal. I was recommended this beer by a friend of mine! I would say it was very good! I poured it in my stein and it came out as a dark black with a light brown foam head! It has a good smell of spices and dark chocolate. as well which makes it a great Fall/Halloween beer. I do wish the Pumpkin flavour was a little more present then the spices and chocolate in the flavour though! All in all, Ill say this was a very good beer and a fun one to drink while handing candy out to kids on Halloween :)

Black color with nitro head. Mild aroma, the flavor is more pronounced, it has a good chocolate flavor, supported by mild sweetness. The cinnamon is very delicate, luckily.
650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark red/brown with light head. Smoky, roasted malt and light espresso aromas. More porter than pumpkin/spice flavors but one can catch the later. Just my type of type of pumpkin beer. Nice. pintbypint (3672) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 2, 2013
650ml brown bottle. Deep brown pour, some nice creamy beige foam on top. Nose has some earth, choclate and roast and spicy ginger, clove and chocolate. Taste has chocolate malts, bit of earth and roast, mild pumpkin flesh, some mixed spice and ginger notes. Finishes with some chocolate and caramel sweetness and some ginger notes. A bit thin in the mouthfeel. Overall, enjoyable and a nice dark variation on the typical fall pumpkin beer. Suttree (6418) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Black, Dense tan head. Smells like coffee, cinnamon, allspice and ginger. Taste is coffee and chocolate, coffee and some pumpkin pie spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, plus some more ginger in the finish. Hints of red wine as it warms. Not although there are plenty of spice notes in this, they aren’t overwhelming and blend nicely with the porter flavors.
