Pour this medium-bodied Imperial IPA for a bit of snap and crackle - and plenty of hop. Brewed with Motueka hops from New Zealand, it starts dry and finishes crisp.

stantheman (1052) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 15, 2016
Bomber from BC govt liquor store. Medium amber color, moderate white head, fruity nose. Fruity, moderately bitter, nice malt background, I would say, for a rice IPA. Frankly failed to notice the high alcohol until it was pointed out to me. 3.7

beerplace (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 27, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Aroma brings out loads of tropical fruits and some sweetness. Taste is tropical fruits and piney bitterness, quite dry and crisp. Some residual sweetness is noticeable. Strong piney bitterness aftertaste. Very good.

650ml bottle, slight amber-orangeish hue, with a big frothy pillowy white head. Mild honeyed candyish lemon, grapefruit peel nose, with some honey, lemon candy lollipop, soft lemon marmalade, lemon pie crust, floral citrus, leafy, minty hop accents, and a subtle orange, peach jello, cracker, caramel, rice, toasted, pale cerealic malt note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a warmth yeasty, panettone cake dough, sweet sticky rice cake pastry, candied lemon, grapefruit peel, flowery citrus, leafy, grassy hoppy character, with a honeyed rice, pale, toasted, caramel, bread malt, lemon pie crust, toffee, subtle tropical fruit flavour, leading towards a warming mild sweet honeyed pale, toasted, caramelized, rice, bread maltiness, candied lemon, grapefruit rind, light lingering citrus, leafy, grassy hop bitterness finish.

Bottle @ home, from Vancouver. Hazy yellow, full finely bubbled white head. Buttercup, orange peel, boozy, hoppy, balanced and rounded. Double barrel, but it works well.

crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2015
650ml bottle. Might be slightly old in the tooth but not more than a month or 2. Hazed golden pour into my ipa buttplug glass, large foamy white head that sticks for awhile leaving nice lacing. Sadly the aroma is quite malty, almost barleywine territory, like caramel rice cereal. If it is all mouteka that is quite a fragile hop variety imo. Flavor is again malty, there is a decent lemon limey hop characteristic and a bit of finishing bitterness but the caramel note dominates. I also have a lugged nose so everything is against this beer on this one.

Bomber. A DIPA to enjoy while watching the State of the Union Address (drinking beer always makes these things more watchable). Pours a hazy, burnt orange with fluffy white head and good lacing. Nose is cakey malts, Juicy Fruit gum and grassy hops. Mouth is medium bodied, mildly sweet, oranges, crackers, clover honey, soap, mild tannins, bitter dryness handsome astringency to finish. I’ve had a few of P49BC’s beers now and while this isn’t my favorite one from them (although it’s decent) I’m very happy that they have become available here in the Midwestern US.

Metalchopz (3391) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 12, 2015
Pours a cloudy golden-amber with lots of particles through it. Warm cap, frothy, creamy, good retention and some nice lacing. Aromas of hops (which I am not a fan off) with caramel and orange notes. The taste is a little better with the grassy hops balanced with the fruity malts. Hints of wax (and even mint) in the finish. Not the best Imperial IPA, but a true one that is still worth trying. Smooth overall.

TheBeerGod (6224) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Bottle. Cloudy golden amber with a medium white head. Aroma is rather sweet with floral hops and light fruit. Taste is sweet with rice notes, booze, floral hops, fruit notes and a light spicy zest. Body is medium with a strong, dense, bubbly carbonation. Slightly sticky. Ends with more sweet rice notes, floral hops, light spicy hops, fruit notes and soft booze.
