3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Alibi room. Cloudy brown with a large beige head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is dates, brown sugar, molasses, toffee. Creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation, full bodied, sweet on the palate with a sweet fruity finish. Taste is raisins, dates, grape skins, chocolate, brown sugar. Fantastic sweet stout, emphasis on the sweet.

341ml bottle from Calendar Pack bought in the Great Bear Pub Liquor store. Pours a dark brown with no head. Non-intense aroma is caramel, roasted malt, some coffee notes. Taste is dark fruits, roasted malt. Smokey, roasted malt aftertaste. nearbeer (5514) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 15, 2016
650 ml. bottle, 5% abv and 30 IBU version. Pour is opaque ebony with a big foam that settles to a thin creamy disc. Nose is blackberry, raisin, waxy milk chocolate, graham cracker and a touch of espresso. Tastes the same with enough dark roast and acidity to almost keep the sweetness in check. Medium body has a pleasant, low-medium carbonation. Nice take on a sweet stout, but I could see how the lower IBU and abv version would probably be to the sticky-sweet side. Sample 1/16/16 (Binnys Downers Grove)-Pours black with a small head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. Taste of the same but this milk stout did not have the sweetness that most others have. This medium bodied brew was not bad, just a bit lacking. solidfunk (9191) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JAN 1, 2016
Certainly milky. Pours black with great head and lacing. Roast and some chocolate. Light sweet finish. Creamy consistency. Tap at Drake. Reeko (50) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 26, 2015
Pour black with no head. Aroma of vanilla and a bit of smoke. Taste is a bit sweet with a slight vanilla taste and a very creamy finish. Overall I was pleasantly surprised. Not a bad stout. cards04 (2827) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 20, 2015
Dark brown pour. Aromas of root beer, anise, some red berry and cream. Similar flavours. A bit thin..but decent nonetheless.
